I love the metro! Idk why people be hatting! I grew up ish going to this bar and it hasnt changed to much but its still as fun as ever! The people are AMAZING! The bartenders are wicked nice and make great drinks!! Well.. atleast a few of them! Metro is AMAZING! more

OMG ..THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST GAY CLUB I HAVE EVER VISITED THE DRINKS ARE WATERED DOWN AND COST WAY TO MUCH ,THE DRAG SHOWS FEATURE UNTALENTED LOCAL DRAG QUEENS WITH WAY TO MUCH MAKEUP WITH NO PERFORMANCE SKILLS OTHER THAN WALKING AROUND FOR TIPS ..THE OTHER REVIEWS ON HERE ARE OBVIOUSLY FROM STAFF TRYING TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS IS A HAPPENING SPOT ..I SAY SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE SURELY JACKSONVILLE HAS A GAY CLUB/BAR THAT HAS SOME REAL CLASS NOT LIKE METRO WHO IS ALL CRAP more

The staff knows me by name.....The bar-tender makes my drink for me when I wealk in, and they have lots of Bar-Tenders.....I never know who I'll get to see there....from Kim Zolxiack, toi RuPaul, to Ms. Betty White......They have drink specials 7 days a week and 6 nights a week.....Now thats what I'm talking about !!! The owner even knows me !!!! I love kereoke!! more

This Place Should Be Named Scamtro 9/19/2009

Be careful my friends, this place is one big money generating scam. First of all, Metro charges $7.00 cover to enter an almost empty club with worn out facilities and poor music. Cocktails are $6.50 a pop and have very little alcohol in them. The drag show is awful and features second rate performers who circle the room like buzzards expecting the customers to tip them. Yes, Metro does have seven bars as advertised, but they have very few customers and no energy. The dance floor was deserted at 12:30 AM on a Saturday night which indicates this club is on its last legs. My advise is to by-pass Jacksonville completely and motor down to Orlando for some real fun. Cons: Everything more

Mostly Young Crowd 2/13/2009

This is a place that is geared more for the young 18-23 gay crowd.. If you want to pay cover and then pay full price for weak drinks in plastic cups, this is your place. Mostly college aged crowd. Pros: There's a drag show and the dance floor is fairly packed. Cons: Prices/Alcohol Content more

i would have rather been at the dentist getting my teeth drilled.i went with a so- called friend for their birthday and got kicked out and treated badly because of my sexual orientation.if you have never been discriminated against then try this place out.the drag show was a total drag and the nasty-ugly wannabe women in clothes that did not even fit.the bartendeers and music sucked too..never will go back even if you pay me Pros: beer Cons: crappy place,and in the bad side of town more

yes #1 with me metro would be my first choice and bo's my last! so if u want a night out ...metro! for sure! dont waste your time or money going to the other bar it's to far..hint p.s. by the way I think I just seen a former bo's performer ??? is that Sheila??
