I have moved a few times, across the country, and across town, and the first time I hired Meticulous Movers was the first time that I have ever had a move go smoothly. I found Larry Takacs' Meticulous Movers (not to be confused with other companies by the same name) when I purchased a grand piano which he set up in my home. When I moved across town, the piano dealer reminded me that Larry could again move my piano and also my whole household. If I did not have a piano, I would still call on Larry. He takes great care in wrapping fragile or susceptible pieces. I could go on about how other movers have damaged, lost, mistplaced, broken, scratched and frozen my belongings, but I don't have to any more! Larry treated my things well and I found everything in its place, all boxes delivered. He also appears to treat his crew well. One of my movers dehydrated a young man and it was rather hairy. I brought him fluids and told him to take it easy but the supervisor kept pushing him and I had to intervene. I can't imagine Larry ever doing such a thing. His pricing is fair and I've never been given the feeling that he is trying to squeeze what he can out of me or overprice because I am female, and he and his crew have never asked for tips. I was once asked for several hundreds of dollars in tips on top of the high charges I already paid but I am not calling that company any more! Recently Larry and three of his men moved my grand piano upstairs. It only took a few short minutes to go up the stairs but Larry took quite a while protecting the staircase and of course the piano. He and his crew are always polite and professional. I hate moving and hope I don't have to soon, but I will be holding on to Larry Takacs' card since now one think I actually like about moving is my movers.
Pros: everything done perfectly, with great care, polite, fair pricing
