Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital

Well, my experience was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. The staff was good except the lady that kept ANSWERING her phone while trying to locate my veins and give me an IV!!!! I was in the HALLWAY and not in a room, it was EXTREMELY noisy, I mean we are talking about a hospital!!!!! From my POV all phones should be on SILENT or VIBRATE in the ER! I arrived at 6pm and left at 4am, which is absolutely too long for A SICK person to wait, That was THE worst experience ever.. But some of the STAFF WAS AWESOME, but the LITTLE THINGS COUNT ALSO! more

I was taken here by ambulance before the birth of my baby and the staff was RUDE, horrible to me, condescending, the doctor threatened to 'cut me' if I didn't stop kicking when the doc shoved a hand in 'to check things' right before the birth. There was NO help breastfeeding, I was separated for DAYS from my child for no reason other than 'observation'. Terrible, terrible, terrible - do NOT go to this hospital to have a baby!!! more

I have turned to Germantown Methodist multiple times in the past few years. The ER is always fast and efficient, I've never had to wait longer than 1 hour to be seen. I also delivered my first child at Germantown Methodist. The staff was fantastic, the nurses were incredibly nice and helpful as well! Six weeks after my c-section, I was admitted for an emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. Again, all staff were extremely helpful, very knowledgable and incrediby friendly. I will turn to Germantown Methodist anytime i need a hospital in the future! more

I had my daughter here and my birthing experience was wonderful. They have a pre-registry so that when you go in to have your baby you do not have to do a bunch of paper work. You can have your baby in the same room as the one you got when you came in. They do move you to a secure maternity ward when you finish giving birth. The nurse are ok in the birthing ward but better when you get to the maternity ward. You get a spacious room in the maternity room so that you will have plenty of room for all your visitors and each room is equipt with a full bath room with shower. My husband has also had surgery here and they were great for an out patient surgery. Nurses were real helpful in getting whatever you needed to be comfortable after surgery. more
