My favorite tapas restaurant. Early evening is suitable for quiet, more intimate dining. Late hours become more of an upscale bar scene. Small plates creates an attractive social dining atmosphere. Sophisticated wine menu adds flare. Brie dip, hummus, walnut-crusted goat cheese, saytays, jamacian jerk Mahi Mahi, creme burlee, and the fondue are classics. more

Tapas with a Charleston flair 7/25/2005

The Maritage is a local tapas bar with great food and sprites. they have something for everyone. Thai, Italian, and local favorites like seafood. I love to get together a group of girlfriends and hang out at Maritage for hours, eating, drinking and talking. It is also nice for date night with your significant other. more

Meritage is a popular tapas bar conveniently located close to the Market in Downtown Charleston. It is a classy bar popular with the college students and young professionals alike. Their menu contains a wide variety of appetizer-sized portions of delicious and unique dishes such as lobster mashed potatoes, spring rolls, lamb chops and more. Their desserts are delicious, I highly recommend the fruit/chocolate fondue. Dress is dressy casual and they are open late. more
