I had been taking my mom to this place for years due to lack of insurance and only for that reason. But if I had known of other options like Swope Health Center I would've changed her provider long time ago..
The nurse is very rude and unfriendly. The receptionist is a total inept. I've had many problems with scheduling appointments, for example I once schedule an appt for my mom and when we showed up Chris said we have no appt, pretty much made me feel like I was crazy and said I had to come back another day , like I don't do anything but sit around and watch tv all day. Another situation was; my mom was being checked for cancer cells in her ovaries, the day the did the testing I went ahead and schedule appt to discuss results and also schedule an appt for a heart test she needed done, I specifically told Chris I need it to do both things in one appointment she sd no problem and even repeated what I said to her, even went as far as telling me that for that sort of appt I would need to wait two weeks, b/c the following week they could do the heart test but not discuss the results bc the Dr. wasn't going to be there so I said ok, as long as I didn't have to go there twice. I go the day of the appointment and they said she only put us down for heart test appointment and not for Dr. consultation, Chris off course wasn't there and I was treated like crazy very rudely and was pretty much told too bad so sad, we can cancel this appointment and come back and do both or re-schedule the appointment to see the Dr. Are you serious? and this was the nurse who told me this, I mean we are talking about discussing cancer results here and they had no compassion for that, and made it seem like no big deal... I was super frustrated but I felt like I had to deal with it b/c with no insurance what else can we do? Turns out they said no cancer cells were found but they needed to do an ultrasound and they requested some paperwork to send her to an specialist, I went to the office dropped off the paperwork the nurse looked at it said perfect that's what they needed, claimed they were going to send right away. I tried calling to check if paperwork was sent and how soon could we get the appt and I couldn't get through for three days left a message and never got a call back. I ended up going to the office to check on status b/c my mom was in a lot of pain and extremely worried, their response was she needs to deal with the pain till ultrasound is done and we know what to do. I asked if they had send paperwork and they said yes, and three weeks after that I got a call saying they haven't been able to process the paperwork b/c one of the documents wasn't the right one.. are you f--ing kidding me? I talk to you in person and showed you the paperwork and you confirmed it was processed and three weeks later you are telling me nothing has been done? We are talking about something really wrong could be going on with my mom and you are taking your good all time? Some how my sister was telling what was going on to one of her friend's and she told her about Swope Health Center and I'm so glad I don't have to deal with Mercy and Truth ever again, I really hate giving them a bad review but after three torturous years of dealing with them I'm done, Swope health was very effective and in one day they did what Mercy and Truth couldn't do in a month on regards of my mom possibly having cancer. They sent her to urine, blood and pap smear test all in the same appointment, and already schedule her ultrasound and Biopsy. The Dr. of Mercy an truth was nice but only as long as she was in a good day b/c most of the time she was grumpy and even yelled at as for no reason.
