Our family spends at least one day a month at the Timken One Day Surgery Center. It has become out second home. Those with older parents will understand. You can sit at a table with all your family members or relax on couches together. They offer free coffee, tea and cocoa while you wait. You are given a beeper and it will go off when it is time for surgery, recovery, and when the doctor wants to talk to you after the surgery. The doctor ALWAYS comes out to discuss and explain what went on and after care. I trust this place more than any other hospital we have had to use. more

The Heart Center is located on the third floor of Mercy Medical Center, it is one of the premier Heart Centers in the United States .Mercy Medical Center, the only Stark County hospital ever named among the Top 50 Best Heart Hospitals by US News & World Report. According to the website http://www.cantonmercy.com The waiting room is large, separated into three different sections. One for families with children, one for people who want a quiet and calm atmosphere, and another with a large TV with news running more so a conversationalist dream come true. You are escorted to the section you wish, your name and the name of all persons attending the procedure are written down along with the patients name and procedure. The doctor will then come to you when the procedure is over and explain what was done and treatment options. Cell phones are allowed so you can keep in contact with other family members that cannot attend. I found my experience with Mercy Heart Center excellent. It is one of the cleanest family friendly hospitals I have been associated with. more

I got hurt at work and since there is several of these in the area, there is one pretty close to where I work. I was taken there by one of the co-workers, we walked in and I filled out a paper and it was no time before I got called. The nurse gave me a eye exam and took my blood pressure and all that stuff and put me in a room, the dr. gaved me eye a throughly going over exam and found a scratch on it. he sure put a lot of stuff in my eye. i guess to make sure he could see everything good. they gave me a tetnus shot since i knew not when i had my last one. I was afraid it would hurt as my last one did but this one didn't. they seem to be very good and gentle with each and every patient. I will go to this one again if need be. more
