The Melting Pot in Wilmington, DE 3/20/2006

I love this expensive restaurant. Every time we go here we end up stuffing ourselves. There are a lot of options on the menu, including ones that are not expensive at all. We always go for the deluxe or the "Big Night Out" as it is called. That includes Appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert for two. The price on that is forty two dollars a person. With that we add drinks and coffee with out dessert and out total is usually about $120. plus tip. The appetizer is a cheese fondue. There are a variety of different cheese to choose from. They bring out different breads, tortilla chips, vegtables, and apple to dip. There is a lot to cheoose with the entree. You choose the liquid you want to cook in- the choises are oils, broth, or coq au vin. We always choose the coq au vin. There is an assortment of things to cook in the broth- steaks, tenderloin, pot stickers, chicken, seafood, vegtables, etc. The one thing to remember is that it is raw so if you don't like that this is not the restaurant for you. Dessert is the best part of the meal. There are a lot of different chocolates to choose from for dipping. We always get the turle, it is chocolate, caramel, and pecans. The bring out fruits, cheesecake, brownie, and marshmellows to dip. Like I said not a cheap restaurant but well worth is for special occasions. There are a lot of alternatives on the menu for a less expensive meal. more
