Never Never go there. Do not waste your money. They are going to charge you a whole lot of money and tell you all sort of problems in your car that had never existed. We went there to fix a small thing in the car but they replaced additional things and we ended up paying three time the amount we were supposed to pay. I paid a VERY large amount of money to have my car fixed at the Meineke off of TV Highway on 73rd. To make a long story short, I drove the car into the shop for a simple fix that was supposed to take one hour. When they were done with the ""repairs"" it was no longer drivable. AND I WAS CHARGED ANYWAY. They refused to refund my money. The car had to be towed out of their shop, I was then stuck and had to rent a vehicle in order to just get home. I was waiting from 9:30am until 4:30pm for something that was supposed to take one hour, the car was totaled when they finished and I paid $400 for this. took my car in for brakes. thought they did an ok job. some time later, heard a clunking sound from the front left wheel well. took it in. they claimed a) the front brakes were bad again, and b) shock was broke. cutting to the chase, thousands of dollars later another shop determined the real problem - totally shot ball joints. in fact, the left front wheel had so much play in the movement that some kind of accident was inevitable. the wheel had over 2 inchs of play.\r \r even though the meineke team itself said they were not able to align the front end after the brake job, this was not enough to clue them in on broken ball joints. this meineke's lack of expertise could have cost my family their lives.\r \r Pros: better choice than a sewage plant at that address Cons: dangerously inept more

I've only had one experience with Meineke Hillsboro, but it was a good one. I took in a used car for a pre-purchase inspection and they helped me avoid a real lemon! Not only that, but they didn't even charge me for the inspection since they didn't have to complete the whole thing. They were very nice and seemed honest and upfront. I'd definitely go back! more

My catalytic converter started breaking apart on the inside and was making a loud rattle. I called several different places to get quotes and this Meineke not only beat out their prices by at least $50, but also stood by their price once the repairs were finished. No extras were forced on me, but they did warn me that parts of the converter had fallen into the muffler and that might need to be replaced. The labor charge was very reasonable ($30 for 30 minutes of work) and the part price was comparable to what I'd found on the internet thus far. I wouldn't hesitate going there again for service or referring a friend to this location. more
