I was at first blown away by the amazing customer service at this specific Meineke. Bob is extremely personable and makes you feel like you are actually important. That is what made me return to this shop for multiple repairs. It all seemed almost too good to be true and sadly it was. During my last visit with them I was greeted the same way I was every other time and dropped my car off with confidence that they would perform the repair quickly and efficiently. When I returned to pick up my car they pointed out another problem that I had asked them to check on and recommended a front brake job to fix it. I declined since I am competent enough to do that job myself and paid my bill and left.
On my way home my ABS light came on and after a bit of research I discovered that the sensor that was malfunctioning was something they had to move to do the repairs on my car the previous day. I called them the next business day and they had me bring it back in. After taking two hours to inspect my vehicle they determined that they had done no wrong and that it must have been an amazing coincidence that my sensor died right after they disconnected and reconnected it to do the repair. Then they proceeded to get an attitude with me and say that they saw my ABS light blinking when they did the initial test drive but they did not tell me about it. How convenient. What kind of shop supposedly sees a problem and does not tell the owner of the car? It all sounds like they were covering their behinds in the matter. The words that came out of Bob's mouth (the owner of the shop) are and I quote ""since you turned down the brake job that we offered, we did not feel it necessary to tell you about the other ABS problem since it was more than likely a money issue"". So since I turned down an overpriced service to do it myself they decided to not tell me about another obvious problem? An auto shops responsibility is to report any and all serious and moderately serious problems to the owner if they come across it. They either did not or they are lying about it. Either way I will not return to this shop for anything since the trust has been broken.
Lastly, the icing on the cake was that in the process of fixing the initial problem they left grease spots on my carpet and leather seats. I was in shock at how dirty it was in my back seat. I thought that there were precautions taken when working on a car to keep it clean but they obviously do not take them. There was also grease on my drivers side seat from when they test drove it. It took me an entire day to scrub it all off and only made me more frustrated with the whole experience.
Bob is a nice guy at first, but I do not think that their shop can be trusted if this is the way they conduct business.
