Meg's Playhouse & Preschool

I am a mother of 2, looking for for a pre-school for my 3 year old. I stopped by another pre-school just around the corner from Meg's and was not impressed ""at all""..... When I drove by to go to the school I saw Meg's and thought, if I have enough time I will stop there too. After my ""very short visit"" with the other school, I stopped at Meg's TOTALLY UNEXPECTED! It was very late in the day, the front door was locked, Daycare was not in full swing, I'm sure the teachers were tired but they still had smiles on their faces. The children were tended to and busy. Director Leslie was a class A. She welcomed me, made me feel at home, Leslie gave me a grand tour without hesitation, I didn't ask, she offered. The tour was so thorough I seriously don't know what else she could of shown me. I am a very hard mother to please, very neat and tidy but I also know things can not always be in place when watching numerous groups of children and there will be sickness. This place was spaceous, had many learning centers and additions were being made to better the children. I am seriously considering placing my 3 yr old because of the wonderful first impression I received today ""TOTALLY UNEXPECTED""! more

Finding childcare for your infant can be very stressful, not knowing who you can trust. When I came for a tour at Meg's Playhouse, the director was very helpful. She walked me through the entire daycare and explained each room. When we got to the baby room, she told me about the ratio of child to teacher. The room was VERY clean and decorative! My first impression was WOW! The teacher was helpful in describing everything that went on through the day and showed me the daily reports that are given everyday. I am very pleased with the decision I've made and my baby boy seems very happy everyday I pick him up! I would recommend Meg's Playhouse/Preschool to anyone looking for quality care! more

The teacher's are great with the kids. They are loving and they also get right down to business with their learning. I have 3 children of different ages that attend Meg's everyday. They are excited every morning to get up and go learn and play with their friends. My children have truly excelled since they started the center. I would recommend the 3 star center facility to anyone! The staff care for the children and they truly care about the parents as well. They work with you in every way possible.\r more

You should really go check out their new competitive prices and new wonderful staff!! They treat every parent with respect in letting them know exactly what kind of day their child had and what they learned. The meals that are provided follow the Child and Adult Food Program that the school systems follow and are very nutritious. I would recommend Meg's Playhouse to anyone looking for good, quality care!! more

If you are looking for quality after school and summer care for your school age child then you should go to Meg's Playhouse! My child has been there for over a year now and is very happy! They have free play, homework time, outside time and much more after school. The teachers are very good at helping with homework and school projects. \r more

Meg's Playhouse/Preschool has been a great 1st experience for myself as well as for my child. She has never been away from me since day 1. She is 3 years old and has adjusted very quickly with Meg's staff. They understand each child's individual needs and work very hard to meet those needs. Allison comes home everyday talking about the things she has learned. We get newsletters often keeping us informed of the activities and things the children are doing. They are wonderful with the children in their care!\r more

Meg's Playhouse of LaVergne is passed off as a great learning environment with structure, a professional staff, and productive learning environment but looks are so deceiving. Although the center did provide learning activities at times and assist with homework when asked, there was a huge lack of structure and professionalism. The teachers openly gossiped about parents in front of students and had issues effectively resolving conflict among students.You also usually walk into a very noisy and chaotic environment when you arrive for pick up at the end of the day. Bottom line- I had much higher hopes and expectations from the center but the were not met. Hopefully the staff grows up, so the children are able to positively do the same! more

My son loves his daycare (Meg's Playhouse in La Vergne). He has learned a lot and has become very social due to the great interaction he has there with the students and the awesome teachers. The Director and the office staff are also very friendly and informative. They are always on top of everything and they do not hesitate in calling me when needed. The center is also very clean and that is one very important key factor for my family. I am now expecting my second child and there is no doubt in my mind that they are the best center for my newborn.\r Pros: Very clean and they have a friendly staff. more
