Awesome 4/13/2009

It is always clean and has friendly helpful staff that are always willing to do whatever they can to make your time more enjoyable. They have a great selection of types of food as well as movies that you wouldn't worry about your kids seeing. Jordan Commons is my favorite place to see movies in the Salt Lake area! Pros: It's a nice family friendly place more

Assigned seating has draw backs 4/11/2009

I have recently stopped going to this theater. The assigned seats have some advantages, like if you get your tickets early you don't have to worry about getting stuck front row. The downsides for me have been people coming in late and not being able to find there seats (just wondering up and down the aisles) or disrupting the movie because everyone in the row needs to slide down one seat. I think this idea would only really work well if they also bring back the usher to help people find there seats. Or just assign seats to potentially full movies. If there are only a small hand full of people do they really need assigned seats? Pros: Clean, Fun Layout Cons: Assigned seating more

Modestly cool theater layout (the screening rooms are scattered in an walled-in city-like structure) and high quality snacks. They sell freaking Swedish Fish! more

Brokeback wrong, Hostel OK?! 1/8/2006

I think it's extremely sad that the owners of this theatre pulled ""Brokeback Mountain"" because they wanted ""to tell young people that maybe there is something wrong with this show"", but has ""HOSTEL first on the list of movies playing at this theatre!!!!! Is there ANYTHING right, moral or even sane about a movie that is making entertainment of people being tortured?! I'd like to know what the writers, producers and actors were thinking about when they made this movie. People keep wondering why there is such a frightening amount of violence among young people who shoot up their classmates or parents of girlfriends. Maybe this theatre should rethink what they show if they plan on making a ""political"" statement. more

Just Average 1/28/2003

Larry's second theatre at the Gateway is definately better than this one, although some features make this theatre unique. Other than Brewvies this is the only theatre that you have a wide selection of food such as hamburgers and a deli that can be brought into the theatre. Downsides would be parking, although it is free and there is lots of it you will almost always get stuck in the bottom of the ramp. It is also constantly packed with people causing slow moving lines more
