I recently bought a beautiful maple tree from here for a fantastic price. We bought most of our original trees and shrubs from here about 15 years ago. It was a deal then and still is now. When I was initially looking for their phone number, I saw negative reviews. We decided to buy our tree from here anyways and I wanted to be sure to return to this site to give my review. This is a small operation but with very knowledgeable owners. We had our tree delivered (which was not cheap but was our only option unless you own a truck) because the size of the tree and root ball were very large. In 2-3 days I received a call to schedule delivery and it came as scheduled. The 2 men were very helpful, and the one man even corrected the depth/shape of the hole we had dug. We didn't pay for planting but they made sure the hole was right and they dropped it in for me. I just had to back-fill and water. You can save a lot doing it yourself BUT you need to do your homework (re: hole depth/shape and how to back-fill properly) and follow their instructions. When we paid for the tree we also bought the root stimulator and have applied it as directed, along with watering as they directed. We will definitely return again for other shrubs. Unfortunately they won't be dealing with large trees after this year. more

This person that posted below has posted on every page that has reviews. That seems vindictive to me, but I've never dealt with Russ's son so maybe this was a situation that needed more repair.. going online and trashing someone's reputation might not be the best way. We've worked with Russ since 2000 and have several properties behind us that now how beautiful landscaping because of the products and prices Russ had at that time. Once year we got these huge flowering pear trees that could only be bought for 5x the price at other places. If you know what you are doing and have a good eye for a deal this is a great place to shop! If you want to pay twice as much for a smile and apology in any situation go down the road to the next guy that is better at the business stuff. Russ is a tree guy, plain and simple. more

Mike, the owner, was the rudest, most condescending, confrontational person I have ever met. He refused to fix things his workers broke at my home and was the most insane person to have a disagreement with. he blames everything on his dad and takes responsibility for nothng. He also never provided me with receipts for my purchase (ordered over the phone) and then refused to supply them when I asked. This voids the warranty since he requires a receipt for the warranty. The trees are dying already after a few weeks and he won't take any responsibility. Avoid this place at all costs. more
