MedVet Saves Lives 3/30/2011

It is easy to criticize when things don't work out the way you want them or the cost is high - but the REALITY IS, MEDVET SAVES LIVES. Pets cannot tell you where it hurts so vets must resort to experience, observation, and tests to make proper diagnosis. Sometimes that means multiple tests which, yes, you have to pay for. My schnauzer has been a patient at medvet for years beginning with Dr. Gordon who diagnosed and treated her for allergies - her quality of life vastly improved! Then, when an unknown benign liver tumor burst and began bleeding into her abdomen, she was rushed to surgery where half her liver was removed. She was patched up and a few weeks later, good as new. Severe vomiting and disorientation was later diagnosed as vestibular and treated with medication - we were told many dogs with this disorder are misdiagnosed with strokes and immediately put down. We're glad MedVet had the experience to make a proper diagnosis. Most recently our schnauzer began coughing and passed out - we thought we lost her. After being quickly seen at MedVet, her Congestive Heart Failure was diagnosed and treated. She has since made a full recovery! Granted, she has to take a lot of pills but Medvet saver her life AGAIN! THREE times medvet has saved our dogs life. . . what price is too high for that? How long of a wait is TOO LONG for that? more

for your pet emergencies 12/6/2005

we recently took our dog to medvet b/c he was sick and our regular vet couldn't see him. we were extremely impressed with the care he received. as expected when you go to any doctor (even vets!) we had to wait quite a while, but it was worth the wait. the vet was truly concerned about our dog and he took the time to give us a thorough explanation about his illness and treatments. i wish my own doctor were so patient and kind! more
