Excellent skin care 4/26/2006

Dr. Gerstman has the best skin care program. The laser treatment with microdemabrasion plus fabulous skin care products that work great and smell wonderful. I go monthly now for maintenance my skin has never looked this great. I love the way my skin looksits healthy, smooth and clear! The Medical Spa is a beautiful and relaxing place offering many services from skin care, anti-cellulite treatments, beauty and skin care products, make-up, fillers and much more. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Gerstman is extremely knowledgeable, warm, and caring. She is an amazing doctor that creates an experience that leaves you feeling and looking great. This is a special place of wellness and beauty that I highly recommend. more

Best laser hair removal spa 4/4/2006

I had tried laser hair removal soemwhere else and had a horrible experience. But I have terrible ingrowns so my friend convince me to see Dr. Gerstman. She's awesome!!! She's really cool and made me feel relaxed. She also used this great numbing cream which really helped with the pain. And 5 sessions later and I'm ready for summer!!!! Full lips 4/4/2006

Dr. Gerstman gave me the most beautiful lips!! They are fuller but look so natural. I don't look like a duck! She also used novocaine which helped alot with the pain. I didn't even bruise. I just love my lips!!! Pros: artistic, perfectionist, calming more

Clear skin!! 4/4/2006

Dr. Gerstman has the best Acne program. I basically paid one price up front for the progam and she saw me twice a week for a month. She did everything! The laser, peels, microdemabrasion. And gave me these great skin care products that are fabulous. I have never had such clear skin in such a short amount of time. I really feel like she cared about me and wanted to help me. Now I see her monthly for maintainance and also because I really like going to the spa!! Pros: beautiful space, smart, caring more

Acne no more! 4/3/2006

Dr. Gerstman is my hero! Ok. First of all, she spent an HOUR with me going over my entire history and actually listening to me!! She even educated me on why acne occurs in the first place. It all finally made sense. She was also the first doctor to ask me about my lifestyle. (Yes, I love junk food a cheese! Apparently no-no's.) So, she came up with a customized plan for me. Acne laser, microderm, peels, topical products, supplements, and I met with her nutritionist, Barbara. Long story short... 1 month later and my skin looks great!! Even some of my scaring has faded. I really can't put into words how happy I am. I actually felt like the team at Medical Aesthetics really cared about me. For anyone who is suffering with acne, you just have to see Dr. Gerstman and her team. Pros: caring, smart, relaxing more

Best Kept Secret 3/14/2006

I found Sohos well kept secret here at Medical Aesthetics. Not only was my medical facial beneficial to my dull skin but the aesthetician was great. Sonia spoke to me about the facials they offered and then helped me pick one that was best for my skin. Sonia the aesthetician made sure I was comfortable at all times. She was very gentle that I almost feel asleep while I was under her care. I enjoyed that she recommended some products but wasn't pushy like other places I have been. When I told her that I was happy with another product from a different line that the office didn't carry all she told me was great then continues using it. I booked a standing appointment before everyone hears about this place and I can't get my facial. I felt like a celebrity the way I was treated. more

Best Medical spa in Ny 3/6/2006

This is by far the best medical spa in NY. It is a """"true"" medical spa. Dr. Gerstman has created all of the treatments and performs almost all of them herself. She has one medical aesthetician, Sonia who is more knowledgeable about skin care than some doctors I've met! Dr. Gerstman't treatments are also really innovative. (ie. the ""Myolift Non-Surgical Facelift Program""-she is the only one in NYC who does this treatment!) This spa is really one of NY's best kept secrets. I just love them! Complete skin care, inside and out 3/3/2006

I have since gone back for some additional age reverting treatment. I have had fillers(restylane) before at other places, and was hesitant to do again because it was painful. Dr. Gerstman took time to assure me this would be different. It was, she used a local anesthetic (novacaine) to decrease the discomfort in the lip area and injected slowly, which further decreases the pain. This time I had barely any discomfort and was able to tolerate more filler therefore improving the appearance of my lips!! All I can say is, this is not a ""rush you in, rush you out"" operation, Dr. Gerstman takes pride in her work - she is concerned with your comfort as much as the final outcome! Pain free peels!! 3/2/2006

I just finished a series of peels at medical Aesthetics and I am so happy with the results. First of all...no pain!!! The peel was called the ""Timeless Peel"" and apparently it contains a high percentage of retinol. I definitely peeled a lot but when it was over (about 5 days) my skin was really plump and glowing. A did a series of 3 to get rid of some fine lines and age spots. And I would say there has been about a 90% improvement. (No such thing as perfection!) Oh, and the medical aesthetician, Sonia is the most knowledgeable aesthetician I have ever met. She's also a great makeup artist and got me hooked on Jane Iredale makeup. This is a fantastic find. Dr. Gerstman is the kind of dermatologist that strives to make you look the best that you possibly can and her treatments have totally transformed my skin. She is personally and professionally committed to her work and to her patients. She is extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled and treats her clients holistically, understanding that a healthy system is the best way to support healthy and beautiful skin. After a few short and relatively painless sessions, I am free of unwanted facial hair. Dr. Gerstman took amazing care of me, and because of her expertise, I no longer spend time infront of the mirror looking for unsightly hairs that got in the way of my confidence. DR. GERSTMAN HAS BEEN TAKING CARE OF MY SKIN FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. THE OUTCOME HAS BEEN AMAZING RESULTS. Bye Bye cellulite!!!! 2/14/2006

I exercised, ate well, and still had cellulite!!! Well, that was until I went to Medical Aesthetics. I tried it all, mesotherapy, endermologie, detox, wraps... All a big waste of money. I started reading about his new medical laser for celulite called the Velasmooth and then I found Medical Aesthetics. The program was intense, twice a week for 4 weeks. But I am sooooo happy! This is a must for everyone. Medical Aesthetics offers great services for all skin types. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Also very knowledgeable about all the products. Dr. Gerstman is a great dermatologist she helped with my acne scaring and I am so thankful to her. She made my glow. Everyone should be going to this medical spa if there not then they must be crazy.
