Worst Golf Experience EVER!! 11/18/2011

I live in Seven Meadows Subdivision and Meadowbrook Farms is our "neighborhood" course, or so I thought. Once a year my neighbors and I go for a Friday golf excursion..the men play regular and the women play best ball. We made reservations a month ahead of time for our group of 12. Today, the ladies group was harrassed 3 times before we finished the 6th hole and told to "pick up the pace". We were playing as fast as we could by skipping shots, running from shot to shot and playing best ball the entire time. We often waited on the group ahead of us before we Tee'd off. After our 3rd encounter with the marshall we had enough, and by the way we were on pace for a 4 hour round, and we said we woud leave if they gave us our money back.. After much discussion he agreed to return our fees and we headed to the clubhouse for our refund. Folks, don't waste your money at this course. Unless you are a handicap golfer they will harrass you to no end and ruin your day!! Take your money elsewhere where they appreciate your business. Meadowbrook Farms does not want women on their course either!! Ladies, don't bother going there.. They will harrass you until you leave. I will never go there again... Pros: null Cons: null more

an otherwise enjoyable afternoon 4/2/2008

Meadowbrook Farms is a picturesque, challenging course in Katy, TX where I've had many enjoyable experiences. However, yesterday's outing was very disappointing as we were hounded about our ""pace of play"" four times during our round. The most aggravating part is that, after we let a threesome play through on 4 or 5, we were not within 2 holes of any other players for the entire round.\r \r We played the front in 2 hours and 10 minutes, exactly in-line with their requested 4:20 round. Including a stop at the turn, we finished 18 in 4:10. \r \r Next time, I'll take my $95/round someplace that appreciates my business...you should do the same! Beautiful 11/19/2005

This is a really nice golf course, but be ready to pay. Greens fees are 62 Monday and Tuesday, 72 Wednesday and Thursday, and 85 friday saturday and sunday and holidays. The course was designed by Greg Norman and it is lovely. Try to play during the week, when it is less crowded. You can also get better deals after 2 pm. Its like 50 to go then. more
