This shop, and all of its employees, are absolutely amazing. They truly offer the highest level of service possible. When I found myself broken down on the side of the road, not one, but two employees took it upon themselves to come make sure I was ok and see if there was anything they could do on the spot. There wasn't unfortunately so the owner waited with me until the tow truck (that I had already called) arrived. Then he drove me home. They are fair, knowlegeable, and have a customer for life right here! more

Brian McLees is not like other shops that I have dealt with. He is a man of integrity and cares about his customers.I had him rebuild the transmission in my van and it has been a nightmare. Anything that could go wrong has gone wrong (in my opinion!). Despite this, Brian has honored his warranty and gone beyond that, assuring me of a vehicle I can depend on. This job undoubtedly cost Brian money in the long run, but he treats me wonderfully! I would definitely recommend him to anyone, and in fact, tell my friends who to call when they have car problems. more

After moving to Olympia in 2002 McLees was recommended when we needed a repair shop for our 3 family cars. We've never considered going anywhere else because of the high quality repairs and prompt, considerate treatment. In particular, they persistently pursued multiple A/C leaks on an older car. We currently own a 2004 and 2 1999's, but even facing increasing repair frequency we'll keep driving them since we're confident McLees has our back. more

I have been going to Brian Mc Lees Automotive for about a year now. It has been pretty good. They have done anywhere from major to minor work for me. They are a little expensive but pretty fast. more

I had never been in before but friends told me these were the go to guys. I presented them with an impossible to find part and they at first told me they couldn't get it but that they would create something that would work. When I came for the part it turned out that they had found the exact part I needed. I loved the positive "can do" attitude and then they actually exceeded expectations. I was very satisfied. more

I have recommended Brian Mc Lees Automotive to multiple acquaintances and friends. I'm just a mechanic myself, and every once in awhile I need a technician with the knowledge and the equipment to check out my vehicles, especially with all the newer cars. It's nice to be able to go somewhere I can trust right in the neighborhood, and they make it real easy for me. When I bring a vehicle in, they tell me not only what is wrong, but also what is coming up in the near future that I will have to think about. I have had them work on my old classic cars, all the way up to my newest vehicle from '09, and what I really like is that I am able to save on parts if I buy them myself, which I do all the time. It's been a good experience. more

Brian Mc Lees Automotive seemed to be qualified when I first took my car to them. I ended up getting frustrated when they told me one thing was the problem, and that "this" would take care of it. Then they would do "this" and my car wasn't fixed. They wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee! I had already paid almost $2000 on the first diagnostic test and the repairs, and I did not feel like I had to pay more money to figure out the problem that wasn't yet fixed! They cut the price down for me, only after I complained to them about having to pay for another test! I went by Firestone and asked if I would have had to pay them for several diagnostic fees to get to the root of the problem, they told me no, that any further testing they would have done would have been included with the first diagnostic fee. The people at Brian Mc Lees are very nice people, I want to make that very clear. I do think the work they did was pretty good as my car is running way better now, even though the check engine light is still on. However, I do think that they could have handled my situation much better than they did. I don't think people should be charged for a diagnostic fee, not have the problem fixed and then be charged again for another diagnostic test when you bring the car back. I probably won't be going back here again, and would have a hard time recommending them to others based on my own experience. My car has been running just as good as it has been with Brian Mc Lee's Automotive. He has worked on brakes, done a tune-up, and a change intake after my car had a leaky intake. It was having troubles in the radiator. He's done quite a few things. My buddy drives a race car for Brian Mc Lee's Automotive so that's how I found out about him. Get an estimate, because Brian does good work but he's not real cheap. However, Brian Mc Lee's Automotive gives excellent service. Paul Yakovich more

On my way driving back to Portland, I ran in to car trouble and needed assistance on a Sunday. They cam recommended to me through a dealership in portland. Brian McLee himself gave me a call and sent a tow truck with in 30 mins, which made sure I got to a hotel safe for the night. He even picked me up the next morning by noon to tell me my car was finished and to give me a ride back. I felt the price was very fare I had a great experience and as a female felt like they did not try to take advantage of my little to none car knowledge.. Brian and his crew are the best in the business. MJ just did a great job on my Audi, very thorough and took great care to make sure my car is in top condition. Can't brag enough about the personal service that Brian gives his customers. He needed to keep my car overnight, gave me a ride home and offered to pick me up the next day.
