I'm a big fan of McFadden's, it's a friendly place and the prices are reasonable for the neighborhood. Their food has been consistantly good when I've been there, and the drinks are a generous pour. The menu is basic but provides all the required pub food. The service is well-intentioned, but sometimes not as efficient as one would like. The best thing about McFadden's is that they are excellent for private parties or groups -- very accomodating and will work with you to meet your needs for price and other arrangements. Wild Scene 12/6/2002

I had my birthday party here last Saturday and it was awesome!!! The music at this place was great, seventies, eighties, Bruce, dance, I did not stop dancing for the whole time and both Sarah and Rebecca hooked up with bartenders! A Good Irish Bar 12/6/2002

I dont go for the candle lit backgrounds or the overwhelming smell of ""Drakkar Noir"" I like beer and beer likes me. McFaddens and its friendly, attentive staff helps facilitate my beer drinking process to the smooth melodies of old school hip hop, with an occassional U2 or Cranberries interlude. Good Time 11/19/2002

I had a great time at Mc Fadden's. The line sucked but once we got in there we drank a whole lot. The bar staff was really friendly to my group, and this was a Saturday night. All in all if you want to go and drink beer and shots, this is a good place to go. If you want to dance and drink martinis try one of these other midtown guido meat facotries... Sucks 11/13/2002

This bar is terrible. Two years ago, Saturday nights used to be so much fun. I went in there just recently and the bar staff was rude, they did not know how to serve drinks and they even lost my friends credit card for 45 minutes. Cons: slow more

Laid Back and Fun! 10/30/2002

I can't speak to the food because I have never eaten there, but as a fun, laid-back bar to hang out with friends, meet people and dance, McFaddens is one of my favorite places. I'm annoyed at the $5 cover now being charged on Sat nights, but they can get away with it because it really is that much fun. I've never been disappointed with the music here-- it somehow gives this bar just the right mix of festive and frat-party. more

The WORST - Never Again 9/17/2002

The worst dining experience of my life. Literally 30 min. for the drink orders to come after giving us lame excuse about how the ice tea is the problem for the wait, another 30 min. for the food to arrive after that. Then the waitress had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity when we were only a group of 5. Waste of time and money. Cons: Dumb waitress, Elusive Manager, Flat Soda machine more
