The experience I had with McLean's was great. The quality of the work was excellent. Both time I used them there were delays because of parts, but that was not their fault. The first time the manufacturer was taking forever to handle it, and the second time the part arrived on time but they said the quality wasn't good enough so they returned it and waited on a another part.
I can't really fault them for the parts, but I did give them a 4 because I thought the communication could have been better in the second instance. The first time they were pretty on top of it, but the second time I'm sure they must have gotten really busy or something, so I didn't get a gauge on when the work would be done. The rental car company had to call them because the car was due, as it was an insurance claim and the insurance would only cover the rental for the duration of the repairs. When the insurance contacted them, that's when I found out that they had sent the part back and were waiting on a new one.
Otherwise, McLean's was great. Michael himself was great. He had really good customer service, and he was very attentive. The people who did the estimate at the shop were really great. They explained everything to me in detail, and they were very straightforward and honest. I felt like I got the truth from them, and unlike other shops that are kind of sketch, they seemed pretty honest and fair. Again, I was going through my insurance, and any time you go though insurance it's always a slippery slope, but they were great. They treated me like a person, and they did great work on the car too.
