Can you give negative stars? 10/7/2010

They seem nice, but watch out. Their Internet site gives you a price, then when you go through the process they say, "oops we made a mistake." I'm also filing complaints with the AG and Better Business Bureau -- sure there may be some "fine print," but when you ask if this is the vehicle that was on the web for a certain price and they say yes -- and admit to showing it to three others -- it seems like fraud. I'd say "bait and switch" but if they were smart enough to admit their mistake, I might have looked at other cars. Now, I just hope they go out of business before their "Grand Opening" (which is now in its seventh month) is over. Awful, awful, experience. Stay away! more

fraud 1/26/2010

There ads said they would give you 130% of Bluebook Value on a trade.......they argued with me and called a a "A" hole and kicked me out because I would have come out ahead. I have filed with the Attorneys General Office for fraud. Lots of luck Pros: none Cons: liars more

JUST SAY NO!! REVIEWS DON'T LIE! 1/7/2010

I was at McGee on January 3rd 2010 as well, checking out a 05 Silverado. The truck looked good and drove pretty well, except for a vibration that they said they would take care of. To explain the entire story would make for another very long post. Bottom line, after multiple trips up from the Cape to pick up the truck, they never got rid of the vibration. This afternoon, Imed, the GM verbally berated me in front of everyone in the dealership, saying he wanted to cancel the deal, I'm being f-ing ridiculous, he doesn’t care about my f-ing deal, he just cared about my parents' deal (they were also at the dealership on the 3rd and bought a new Equinox), he said every truck vibrates on the highway this time of year, and he said I wanted a new truck for the price of a used one. I told him that now I understood what all the bad reviews and the bad grade from the Better Business Bureau were all about I very calmly stated how unprofessional he was being, screaming at me in the middle of the dealership. I'm a very calm person so I wasn't yelling back at all, I found his outburst comical. As for Scott the internet sales guy, he wasn't a complete jerk, and actually did make attempts to get the vibration corrected, but he seems to have too much on his plate and is disorganized, which makes his customer service lousy and frustrating. To sum it up, by the end of the day I was ready to cancel the deal as well. I really hope people don't fall so in love with a vehicle at this place that they look past all the BS. Do your research, read the reviews, and go to a reputable dealer (as hard as it may seem to find). It's worth spending a little more money at a good dealer, which is what I'll be doing Pros: None at all! Cons: Too many to list! Very dishonest! more

Bad service.. 10/4/2009

Bad service, not worth the savings..or what you think is savings. I had to redo my contract several times. Took two months to reg. my new truck. One salesman started a fight with me in front of other customers. Won't fix prob. With truck, and its under warranty. The list goes on. Horrible experience. more

So Dishonest! One Star IS too much! 5/31/2009

I was very disappointed with an exchange I had this dealership. I was looking for a new mini van and was very excited to find one online for a reasonable price. After a week of researching, I was getting wise to the way the dealerships work by listing lower internet prices to get people in the store. For this reason, I specifically called the dealership and spoke with one of the managers to be certain that the price listed on the internet was the actual price of the mini van. I read off the price and all of the van info and specifically asked if that was the actual price of the van or if that was the price with a "trade in" or "cash down". The manager told me it was the "actual price." Then my husband called later just to be certain, and again he was told the price was correct. Knowing it was a great deal, we wanted to act fast. I had to have someone come over to watch my 4 kids so I could drive 45 minutes to the dealership. When I got to the dealership, I handed the internet printout to the salesman. He didn't say a word about the price being incorrect. He gave me all the info on the van and had me test drive it. Then he asked several times if I "really loved it" before he let me know that the actual price was almost $2000 more than what it said on the internet and what I was told over the phone (by a manager). The salesman tried to tell me it was a "mistake"--that the managers don't actually know the prices of the vehicles off the top of your head. Then he actually told me that they "list the prices lower on the internet just to get people in the store". I don't know how they expect people to trust their dealership when they lie about pricing right off the bat. I have never felt so tricked. It wasted over 2 hours of my day and my mother's day as well. These people are so dishonest. I would NEVER buy a car from them. Don't even waste you're time going there. P.S. At one point during the exchange I told the salesman this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and he smiled and offered me a piece of gum!!! Pros: None Cons: Most dishonest people I've ever met. more

1 star is too high 2/4/2009

1 star rating is to high!! Stay away from this dealership, no matter how good the deal seems. Thats the best advice I can give. Bunch of Snakes, thats actually an insult to snakes. They are lower than dirt they walk on. From Sales TIM will BS like most sales people. The GM AHMED will back the BS. The Service Manger DAN will stall anyway possible and Lie with a straight face. After selling a vehilce that wont even pass state inspection... Pros: They sell vehicles Cons: They dont honor anything they say more

BEWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING 1/24/2009

Beware of what you by at McGee Chevrolet, Middleboro! What you get may not be what you bought. Read the contracts carefully and review everything in detail. Check out the vehicle in great detail - look at everything - better yet have it checked out by an independent source! Pros: Price looked good - vehicle didn't turn out anywhere as god Cons: watch every detail and have the vehicle checked out carefully more

The worst dealer, any where 4/30/2008

I as well as many others are dissatisified to say the least with Mcgee in middleboro. I am attempting to set up a website where we can make ourselves heard.I have contacted 3 government agencies that I am forbidden to write down here for some unknown reason and a Providence tv consumerwatch producer , whom has shown some interest. I am also,by way of public record getting addresses and hopefully phone numbers so we can make our dissatisfaction known.I advise anyone buying with Mcgee to make sure you have witnesses to all conversations and catalog all phone calls and have them monitored. I did. Just put your phone on speaker and have someone listen in. Yes it is legal as long as you are not recording them without their knowledge Pros: none evident Cons: Thievery more

Beware Missing Vehicles 3/26/2008

Short version: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. THERE'S NOT AN HONEST ONE AMONG THEM! Longer version: I spoke with the Internet sales associate (Nick) at 3pm. We spoke about a specific 15-passenger van advertised on the website. He invited to come down that night to drive it. I was instructed to ask for Jeff or Nick and made an appointment to be there around 5:30. When my husband got home from working all day we packed up our five small children and drove nearly two hours through 5 o'clock Boston traffic to see the van as we were almost certain we would purchase it. We arrived at said time and were left waiting around the sales floor for about 45 minutes. During that time we watched two other customers storm out because vehicles they had seen advertised in that day's paper were not on the lot. Their designated schiester (salesman) was attempting to sell them "something better." Neither customer was pleased. When our turn came neither Nick nor Jeff were available and we were left to deal with Ed. He took our personal information to run numbers before we had ever seen the vehicle. We were then notified that the vehicle we were there to see had been sold! I asked if that development happened in the last three hours and they said no. They said Nick worked at some satellite office and probably still thinks the vehicle is on the lot. They assured me they had "something better" and brought around a Dodge conversion van which only seats 7. I told the supervisor (who was now involved) that I wasn't looking for a conversion van and if I was I would have gone to the dealership down the road from my house. He lied to me and said "The van you were interested in was only 12-passengers anyway." I said I didn't belive they ever had the van in the first place. He then offered to get me the phone number of the customer who bought the van! This is not only illegal, it's a joke. At this point, my family and I put on our jackets and left. Pros: Free water in the waiting area? Cons: everything else more
