When my aunt passed away, McDougald in Anderson conducted her funeral. We called to ask if they could suggest a hotel as we were coming in from out of state on short notice. Our family was in mourning & we did not want to trouble them. The funeral director informed me that they were not a ?concierge service?. I never told my uncle about this comment ? but I should have. Rude more

My mother passed away last month. Mother only had a very small insurance policy. We went to McDougald's and they worked with us. They were very kind and thoughtful. They did not try to force anything extra on us. The people at McDougald's were great all the way through the funeral process from start to finish. It's NOT just a money thing with them. NOT HAPPY 1/8/2011

I would not recommend using Mcdougald Funeral Home. I had a cousin to pass. He was 32 years and had no insurance no money. I would hope that would not make a difference but it must. Staff was not very helpful. Preparation of the body was very poor. On the other hand I've had family members with money and insurance that was treated the way a family should be treated. So is it all about the money? Just not the same anymore. more

The McDougald Funeral Home provides the best service in Anderson. I have had experiences at all 3 funeral homes in our area and there is no comparison. McDougald's is the best. The way they treated my family and guided us through our selections was second to none. They are professional, experienced, knowledgeable and fair. more

Regrets 8/1/2010

I would not suggest using this funeral home. After the funeral, the only thing anyone wanted to talk about was that crematorium they insist on having. My granny loved the outdoors and children and it was a mistake to use the service of a business that did not share her preservation values. more

Funeral Home 11/6/2005

When my father passed away, we used McDougald Funeral Home. They were so sympathic with my family when they came to pick up his body from our home. We had to go down there to make arrangements the next day and they sat us down and explained everything they would be doing. It is a very good funeral home. more
