This local Italian restuarant has all the right ingredients from food to personnel. My husband loves the veal, and my favorite is the penne vodka sauce w/shrimp. The bread/salad & service are always delicious before the scrumptuous main meal. The portions are so generous I ALWAYS take more then 1/2 my meal home. Love it! Love it! more

Shhhh, don't tell anyone 12/28/2009

What a great place to have a pasta dish and a cocktail. The will make anything you want ! Pick your favorite pasta, sauce and ingredients and they'll make it for you. Can't handle garlic, not a problem. Homemade bread, spring mix salads make for a reasonably healthy meal. But don't spread it around, it is starting to get crowded. Steve H more

Good: Marsala sauce was ok.. Bad: Piccatta sauce had no wine or lemon. It tasted like chicken broth with corn starch. The red sauce tasted like cheap canned tomatoes with the seeds left in. It was strained to look like uniform tomato sauce but tasted horrible. Meat portion size was very small.. Improvements: Kitchen is being cheap and lazy. It needs a better head chef. The quality and portion size for $15-20 entrees is a rip off.. Other: There is better Italian food to be had for less money.. more

Great Neighborhood Italian Food 1/11/2009

If you look at some of the other reviewers, I am not sure they knew how to apply the stars. Don't judge this place by the exterior or the dining area. We get there whenever we can, great food large portions. Their red sauce is fantastic. My only complaint is that I wish they were closer to where I lived more

I love the place. They have the best pizza in Wilmington. Their white pizza is great too, for people that don't like or can eat pasta sauce. more

Cheap and delicious! 7/28/2005

Mazella's is a great hole-in-wall Italian restaurant that is worth checking out. You can take-out or eat-in. For take-out, there is delicious pizza, subs, etc. For eat-in, I recommend trying one of their pasta dishes. They are HUGE - enough for 2-3 meals and really delicous. They come with bread and salad. You dont have to dress up and you will get a great meal without spending a lot of money! Yum! more
