Just found out that they closed their business and likes to scam people for money. I purchased their services early 2010 and lost my money and hair was not removed. I need assistance on how to file a suit. I read that there is already a couple filed in California. I would like to file one in Lake County, IL but need help. Any assistance or support would be appreciated. more

My friend was scammed by this company as well. I have done some extensive research and have a lot of information that may be helpful including other affiliated businesses as well as the manager and owners names. Please respond if you want to work together to go after them. The manager of the company has 86 law suits against him in California! more

This place is the WORSE EVER.. the technician was trying so hard to convince me of doing laser on my whole body. Unfortunately, I was convinced and bought another package. I had one session only and the next thing I know is that they're CLOSED.. seriously what kind of people are they???? if any one hears about them please tell me more

All I can say...This place was a scam! I went in for a package and was convinced to pay cash (better deal per the staff). One appointment later and they're all long gone. What a waste -out $1400 dollars...Outside of the obvious, anyone else get taken as well? If you here of them re-surfacing in the industry please post-Love to get my hands on them legally! more

Who knows how to get a hold of them? They took my money and know their gone!!!!!!!! I don't have much money ok I'm a student I don't know how people have the hearts to do this to someone. Please if anyone knows what I can do let me know. I don't have any more to spend so I cant go to Dermalight Laser Clinics... :( please someone help me I cant believe this... more

Fortunately, the people at Dermalight Laser Clinics are going to offer me a 50% discount as a compensation for MayaMed Spa having scammed me! That is more than what I had originally deposited with Maya Med Spa. If you are a victim of MayaMed Spa, contact Dermalight Laser clinics and you too can get the 50% discount. They are really nice people, very much the opposite of Maya. more

Maya Med Spa is a very nice place 6/10/2011

I always wondered why people write bad things about a business. Usually there is a different reason other than the one stated. I go to Maya Med Spa. All my girlfriends go there as well. We do hair removal and have great results. I happened to know Oleksandra, the girl that wrote the last 2 reviews. We work at the same hair salon. In fact, she told me about Maya Med Spa. She still goes there. Her mother and her sister go there as well. The truth is that she applied for a job there and they wouldn?t take her. So she is mad at them. I don?t know the motivation of the other people. All I know that Maya Med Spa is a very nice place, I am hair free and I paid a very reasonable price. It is amazing how many mean people there are out there that blame a good business for their problems. more

Everythings Been Amazing 5/27/2011

I have done it all. Electrolysis, waxing, tweezing, bleaching, shaving, and lotions that smell like chemical plants. With laser hair removal at Maya Med Spa, I found it to be faster and much less expensive than electrolysis, longer lasting than waxing. I had my bikini line, underarms and legs successfully lasered. The process was easy and painless. It has been 2 years and the results are just great. I send all my friends to Maya Med Spa. more

Successful and Rewarding Experience. 5/19/2011

Hair was my worst enemy. However, with advanced laser technology at Maya Med Spa, I not only got rid of that enemy, but I regained my self-confidence. Certainly, it was just a matter of being patient. Truly, it was like day and night. My arms, underarms, face, and bikini looked amazing; cleaned of HAIR!!!!!!!! Now it is so great to be able to go swimming at the gym, at any time, without feeling uncomfortable. With great gratitude, I would like to recognize Helen for doing such a wonderful job, by giving me the best advice to make this treatment a successful and rewarding experience. more

I am a 48 years old psychologist. I have had facial treatments at Maya Med Spa on regular basis for the last 2 years. My esthetician formulated a program for me that included laser, clinical and other technology treatments. The results are incredible. Al my friends are amazed how younger my face has become. Every dollar I spent in this place is totally worth it. more

I checked several places before I went to Maya Med Spa. The interesting point that I discovered is that most med spas in the area have no comments about them on the Internet. Maya med Spa has many comments and most are positive. Once I visited Maya Med Spa I understood why. They are extremely busy. The place is beautiful. They have the most effective technology for laser hair removal. I studied the subject extensively. Alexandrite lasers produce the best results. The prices at Maya Med Spa are lower than most facilities in the area. Their prices have no hidden fees and are the same for all people for the same body area. Their guarantee period is longer. Most places charge per treatment and do not offer any guarantee period. No wonder it is such busy facility. I removed hair from my legs and bikini area with excellent results. I definitely recommend it. more

I went in to remove hair on my face, due to an ad on the radio. The staff was friendly, my appointment was on time and my technician made me feel completely comfortable. I rated them 5 stars because everyone was friendly and professional. Most important, my results are great and I look forward to more. The thing I liked the best was that they give you exact prices without any hidden costs and they guarantee their work. I was completely comfortable and have already recommended them to my friends. more

Their prices are the best in the area 4/19/2011

I did my back in the beginning of the year so I can be hair free for the summer. I paid only $900 for the full package and it is guaranteed for 30 months. I have done 5 treatments and I have no hair on my back. Everything else is not important. Their prices are the best in the area. I checked probably every medical spa around. Their machine is great, and so is the services. more

This Medical Spa 3/16/2011

This medical spa is wonderful. If you really want your hair off for a very reasonable price this is the place to go. In Feb. of last year, I did my legs and Brazilian bikini. After 5 treatments and 1 follow up treatment the hair is gone and nothing grew since. Their technology works. It is not the cheap IPLs that most places use. It really works. I am very happy that my girlfriend convinced me to do it there. more

Don't trust everything that has been said to you 2/18/2011

Dear ladies, never ever ever, under any circumstences go to the Maya Med Spa because there are two evil people, who lie and care only about the money you'll give them. They ( Victoria and the manager) will push you into doing unnessesary thing just because they want to have more money out of you. I don't mean everyone in the spa, only these two people. I don't know why, but how can they still work there? Victoria knows and understands nothing about her job. Victoria will gossip behind your back and tell everyone stuff about you and your body that are not even true. My suggestion is never, even if it's super cheaps, trust Victoria with your body. She'll screw it. She take the money, promocing the good result, the result will be bad and money never returned to you. more

MAYA'S WRITING ITS OWN REVIEWS 11/2/2010

This place has to be the worst. I bought a 5-laser package and have seen no improvements. Nathan says that this is "normal." What the? He is totally unprofessional. And, take a look at the reviews with 5 stars. They are all in the same writing style with the reviewer supposedly writing her first name - Nathan is obviously writing the reviews. I'm sure that all of the sudden, now there will be an influx of 4 and 5 star reviews with the writing styles totally changed. I asked Nathan about how much it is to get botox and he told me to go to the doctor's office in Wilmette b/c the doctor doesn't actually ever come to Maya. What kind of management is that? more

Horrible and unprofessional 9/21/2010

People, stay away from this Service.It typical russian service(no customer service-they just need your money).I tried to be patient with those people,but the way they treated you-you don't want it for your own money.Victoria - the technican who does laser(and probably all other services) was always pushing me to spend more money in their business.Her language is very abusive(she even told me once that I'm ugly-just because I didn't wanna do laser on all other areas of my body:) When I was complaining to the owner Nathan-he was very rude,didn't wanna replace Vicky with another technician(just because he doesn't have any other). OVERALL IT'S HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I DON'T RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY EVEN TO MY ENEMY more
