Call me crazy, but I don't like to pay too much for a haircut. I like to walk in, have someone simply cut my hair, and leave. This is not that kind of place. This is the kind of place that makes you wait because it's part of the experience. This is the kind of place that has different pricing levels based on who cuts your hair and how much experience that person has. And this is the kind of place that loves to spray all kinds of ook into your hair. The hair stylists I encountered here were all nice, and professional, but it's just too much - I'm going to stick to a plain old barber. more

If you want an extra splurge come to Maximus. Especially when it comes to your hair you don't want to go to just anyone. I finally decided to highlight my hair at 34 years old. I was a little scared. I shouldn't have worried. The stylists were great. One person highlighted my hair. They put all your information into a computer system and so when you come in again they have all your colors in their database. Then another stylist cut my hair. I have to say that she actually styled my hair. Other chain stores used to cut my hair and just chop it up. It was a pleasure to actually come out of the chair look at my hair and really like it. And after 3 months (which is how long they told me to wait til I come back=-that's new! usually it's every 6 weeks) my hair still looks great. She asked me to hold off to let my hair grow out so she can really style and cut it next time! Now that's service that I would pay extra for! This store is located in the Fortunoff Source mall. more
