While on a recent trip to Tucson I had the pleasure of shopping at Max & Maude's. I live in metro Atlanta where I shop at a number of wonderful children's boutiques. Let me say that I wish I could take the entire Max & Maude's store back to ATL w/ me! The store is in a charming (& lovely) upscale ""lifestyle"" mall Casas Adobes; the beautiful location presents the perfect ambiance for your shopping experience. Once inside I found a great selection of clothing that will satisfy a range of customer tastes. Brands ranged from the traditional (Bella Bliss sweaters & Barefoot Dreams luxerious baby blankets) to trendy ( No Sugar Added & Dirty Laundry). Upscale European brands such as Deux Par Deux, Catimini & Cakewalk are also represented. There's a great selection of gifts: gorgeous diaper bags from Petunia Pickle Bottom (they'll make you the envy of every mom), a HUGE selection of PJ's along w/ the absolutely adorable Penelope Peapod purses (every little girl will want one; mine sure did!). The store also has the most unique hairbows (they are handpainted!) that I have ever seen. Customers can also shop for shoes, socks & tights, swimsuits, layette & toys from Schylling.....this is definitely a ""one stop shopping"" boutique! The customer service is outstanding. When I wanted a particular Bella Bliss sweater for my daughter & the store was out of her size I was so disappointed. Sheri was happy to help...she called Bella Bliss & arranged for the sweater to be shppd to my home. I found the entire staff to be very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable; they offered suggestions on clothing pieces/brands I might like & assisted me in finding correct sizes for my children. The staff felt like old friends. The next time I'm in Tucson I'll certainly stop by; in the meantime, I'll have to be content to experience all that Max & Maude's has to offer online!
Pros: Fantastic selection, outstanding customer service, great ambiance
Cons: There's no Max & Maude's in metro Atlanta!
