Max Impact

I have two kids enrolled at max impact in pacific palisades. I wanted my kids to really learn how to stand up for themselves as bullying became an issue. I had my kids try the free class where they learned more about how to protect themselves against bullies in half an hour then they ever did at school.I wish I knew what they know now when I was in school. Unlike some other schools that say they can help with bully problems, the max impact instructors actually can... and did. They really know what they are talking about. My kids love the classes and I love the fact that the instructors take the time to always check in with my kids to see how they are doing. My boys feel like superstars everytime they go. It's a great place where everyone is welcome. I'll be trying the free class for adults very soon. They also have great rates and family member discounts. If you have kids really go out of your way to try a class at the max impact school. Pros: Fabulous instruction. Great prices. Cons: Haven't seen any. more

What a great find. I was looking all over Los Angeles to try brazilian jiu jitsu but I found EXACTLY what I was looking for in the Pacific Palisades. Max impact is a great place for classes. Every one there is super friendly, and that includes the staff, instructors, and students. I was hesitant (scared, actually) to try brazilian jiu jitsu but the instructors made me feel very comfortable and like I was part of the team right away. The facility itself is very clean, and the classes are run so that everyone works out hard and leaves that much better off than when they came in. I love the place! Pros: Excellent instruction. Great training. Very safe environment. more

MAX Impact Martial Arts has it all under one roof. I am writing this as an absolute outsider when I tell you do yourself a favor and check these guys out. If you want to learn how to protect yourself and have fun doing it then look no further. James the chief instructor and owner is articulate and extremely well versed in the arts of combat and I don't mean karate or cardio kickboxing. I'm talking UFC, knife fighting, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Boxing. I believe he has a black belt from Professore Pedro Sauer who is a 7th degree balck belt under Rickson Gracie. I also wanted to mention how there are other schools around who claim to offer mix martial arts training, but fall a little short in doing so. So I urge you to go have fun and learn how to protect yourself while doing it!!! more

This is realistic self-defense instruction. The Total Defense program offered at MAX Impact is exactly that. Punching, kicking, knees, elbows, and other self-defense techniques are easily learned. I'm actually surprised at how much I've got out of the training. I also am learning how to avoid, recognize, and verbally diffuse potential confrontations. Plus the training provides a great workout. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program also is first rate. If you ever wanted to know how to protect yourself and stay safe then look no further than MAX Impact. Pros: Great facility and staff.
