BEST GARBAGE BURGER EVER ENJOYED THE ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE WAS GREAT more

Best Burgers 12/13/2002

Max & Erma's Garbage Burger. When I first heard about it, the gucamole didn't sound very appealing, but it adds a lot. Need lots of napkins and if you order the big one, you need time and pants with an elastic band! It is a great burger though! more

Good ""chain"" food 10/29/2002

Max & Erma's is one of my favorite ""chain"" resteraunts. I love the one in German Village but have ate at several other columbus locations. Food is always good and service is fairly consistent...These people serve the BEST tortillia soup. I get it everytime! The salads are great, and the buffalo chicken sandwich is wonderful. Give this place a try, definitely! Pros: quick, good food, good value Cons: Wait times, sometimes loud more

Great Burger from a chain 8/29/2002

I was quite surprised that I would get a tasty burger from a chain restaurant. Ordered the reg. with pepperjack cheese and a side of homemade potato salad. I ended up being very happy in the taste and would go back. Pros: Fresh tasting meat, served hot Cons: price, normal chain feel more

Fun place to eat! 8/10/2002

Max & Erma's is a grat place to take the children and grand children for lunch. more

build your own burger the way you like 8/9/2002

rating the best 7/29/2002

This is the best place to go for feel-good, fried foods that are best enjoyed with friends. All of their appetizers are excellent, and their burgers are the best in town! Pros: inexpensive, good portions, good atmospshere Cons: smoking too close more

Former Employee Still Eats There!!! 7/24/2002

Absolutely the best hamburger in town, possibly in the US! I used to work there, know how everything is made, and STILL eat there! Burgers are thick, juicy (best medium rare) NEVER FROZEN! Toppings as numerous as cobblestones in German Villiage. Try bacon and Blue, Cajun, or the incomperable garbage burger for a taste treat. Best of all, they are in Toledo, Detroit, Chicago, even Atlanta! Pros: Great Burgers, Fabulous Sandwiches, Apple Pie to die for Cons: wait, esp on weekends more

Garbage 7/24/2002

This a place famous for their gargabe burger. Never will you taste a hamburger as good as this one. It has everything and a little different each time. Only order one because, they are hugh. Pros: good service, fair price Cons: crowded, hard places to find more

garbage wins hands down! 7/23/2002

Max and Erma's is a local flavor resteraunt. Some are better then others. The Garbage burger is uncomparable in flavor. I have not found one to match it! more

Again? No thanks! 5/26/2002

The wife and I had a garbage burger back in April and I must say the experience was anything but pleasurable. We waited for 20 minutes before getting someone to come to our table then waited another 45 minutes before our food came. My burger was slightly warm and very soggy and I don't like soggy burgers. My fries were cold and the drink I and my wife got had to be replaced twice because there was more water than syrup! The whole night was a waste and needless to say we didn't leave a tip! Cons: terrible service, food sits too long more

Family Favorite 5/20/2002

OK, maybe its eclectic hodgepodge schtick is not the novelty it once was, but in its day, M&E was a real trailblazer, and it's still a reliable delight for good solid family fare. Friendly, warm and inviting, it's a can't-miss. more
