Mavi exceeded our expectation in every aspect. What a perfect dining. The staff polite and courteous and the food certainly phenomenal, in fact the best I have in Connecticut . Bravo we shall return. Pros: Best lobster appetizer and fish, best ambience, excellent service. more

Mavi is the Place 6/6/2008

I am always looking for places that have great outdoor dining for the summer months. Who wants to be cooped up inside during the best time of year, right? Mavi has a great patio with chic stainless steel chairs, romantic candles, and really beautiful landscaping. The food is best described as addictive. I find myself absolutely craving bites from their tasty mediterannean meze platter and their seafood mixed grill. Don't forget dessert there either. They have an unbelievable baklava. This is just one of those places where every detail has been considered and it all comes together beautifully. more

Mavi restaurant fuses upscale mediterranean cuisine into a sophisticated modern dining experience. The menu includes everything from France, Italy, Turkey, Greece...etc. many changes daily. Mavi offers the unusual combination of upscale cuisine at affordable prices and an atmosphere that is both relaxed and chic at the same time. The food is high quality and fresh but most importantly, tasty. I would say that the staff is excellent and genuinely interested in enhancing your experience there. I love the salads, duck l'orange spring rolls, and grilled fish. Grilled calamari is also a standout. more

Marvelous food 4/2/2008

My company recently hosted an event at Mavi and we were really pleased with the food. All of the platters looked as though they were fit to serve at a royal banquet. The lounge upstairs is perfect for private events and the staff is great- both fast and friendly. The food is really fresh, well made and delicious. We will definitely return to Mavi for future events. more

Make sure you go hungry! 3/11/2008

Mavi offers that rare combination of excellent cooking and generous servings, so make sure that you and your companions come hungry. If I had to pick my favorite dishes there I would probably put the Grilled Dorado fish and the Mediterranean Meze platter on the list, but then I would have to give a mention to the delicious steaks and great pastas too. The solution? Go again and again. more

Great place! I've been to many restaurants in CT, NYC, CA, Europe. And I must say Mavi is the best one I've been to. The place has such a cozy atmosphere. Excellent Food at Mavi 3/4/2008

I have to commend the chefs and staff of Mavi for the great work they are doing. Since the reopening I have been there a couple of times a week because I find the food to be irresistably delicious! Delicious appetizers range from exquisite shrimp cocktail to hot feta cheese rolls and duck l'orange spring rolls. The entrees there are extremely tasty, with wonderful seafood, and pasta options and ""to die for"" grilled lamb and adana kebabs. This place really delivers all the best of the Mediterranean world in one wonderful package. more

Great lunch! 2/28/2008

I was taken to Mavi yesterday for a business lunch. I have to say it was the most interesting and well prepared food I have had in a long time. This place seems to have something for everyone, whether you are in the mood for pasta, great steaks, light fare, or intruiging European and Mediterranean gourmet dishes. I will definitely return soon to try more of their food. I recommend the Mixed Grill platter. It was loaded with grilled lamb, chicken and beef, as well as some delicious roasted peppers and Mediterranean salsa and rice pilaf. more

Great Dining! 2/27/2008

My husband and I just had dinner at Mavi last night. We were both really blown away by the romantic atmosphere. We tried several of the appetizers, including the Ottoman Pizza and the Mediterranean Meze platter - which were both to die for! Then my husband had a succulent Filet Mignon and I had the doner platter which featured wonderfully juicy thin strips of veal and lamb. Both of us loved the whole thing! Then we shared a molten chocolate cake for dessert. The staff was so warm and friendly! I highly recommend Mavi. more

Mavi is Marvelous! 2/25/2008

I am trying to get the word out that Mavi has taken over the space that used to be Tuscan Twins. Bloomfield is truly fortunate to have such a wonderful and unique culinary oasis in its midst. Their Mediterranean fusion concept is brilliant. Their Duck L'Orange spring roll is extremely delicious, as are all of the dishes and appetizers I have sampled on several occasions since their Grand Opening. The juicy roasted Doner with lamb, veal and beef is extremely good. My wife and I love Mavi! more
