Matt's Moving

I just used Matt's over the weekend and am very pleased. The guys who helped me -- Justin, Bob and Cody -- did a great job, especially for an early morning move. \r \r What impressed me most: 1) They were attentive to following instructions and generally very mindful of putting boxes where I needed them to go in the new place. For example, and I don't even know if this was conscious on their part, but I had marked several boxes ""Now"". I said nothing about this -- that was for me to find the boxes more easily later on. All of those boxes were on top; I never had to dig for them. Also, they managed to put boxes where I wouldn't struggle to get around them or into them. 2) If uncertain about any of my ambiguous instructions or direction, they asked for clarification. (A mark of exceptional performance in any profession!) 3) They were careful about not marking up the floors and walls, too.\r \r I should also mention, even though it was not my priority (I've got a few delicate things which are more important to me than haste), they could not have been more efficient.\r \r I've used other movers - including intra-state - and it can be very difficult if you are not in the right hands. I will definitely use Matt's Moving again and would feel lucky to get the same crew. more

I've been a business colleague the owner of Matt's moving for a number of years now, and own a service company myself. I used Matt's Moving Co a little over a week ago and couldn't be more impressed with the quality of men, the care they took with my belongings, they were courteous, informative and worked quickly but took great care with my valuables. I would NOT recommend this company. \r \r Bad Service from the person who answered the phone and the Owner. Promises were not kept. I would swear the driver was high on something. Move took much longer than it should have . . . . by 1 1/2 hours. My previous moves, I had more stuff and we were done much sooner! \r P.S. to the people who answer the phone . . . if you are going to use wireless headsets, make sure they are disconnected before you start using the F word while talking to your co-workers. \r Unprofessional from start to finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I would not recommend them, i ask if they do a back ground check on there drivers, she said no, they have worked here for a while. i asked if there is a drug screening on employees, no only drivers, but she said they are licenced and bonded, i said great, if there is not back ground check how do i know you do not hire fellons that a checking my stuff out she hung up never called me back. not a good a place i would want moving my stuff. more

The two movers arrived promptly. I had expected the move of our furniture to not take more than 3 hrs....I had moved all the boxes. It ended up taking 5 1/2 hrs. It was only 10 miles between the two homes. Our floor fan was broken. They expected payment in full upon completion but made a note on receipt that the fan was broken and said payment for the broken item would be made promptly to me. It has been 3 wks and I have not heard from them. There has been no follow up from a call I made to them. more

The movers showed up 15 minutes early. We were impressed with care they used in protecting our furniture. They worked quickly and did not damage anything. The total move took 2 hours and 15 minutes. We would use Matt's Moving again and would recommend them to others. more

We hired Matt's Moving Company. The two workers arrived early and worked carefully and quickly. No time was wasted. Their truck was clean and we knew our belongings would arrive in good condition. I would hire them again without hesitation. more

Matt's was a reccommedation from friends who had used them and said not only were they affordable but provided a quality service! They were correct!! The guys were great to work with form the initial quote and reservation and then throughout the move. We had lots of heavy furniture and antiques to move and they did a fantastic job. We asked many extra favors of the movers including putting a couple of dressers up in our garage storage 10 feet off the ground, and they did it without complaint or grumbling! This is one reccommendation that will continue to be passed around amongst family and friends!! more

Our move got pushed up to Mothers Day. We were at a loss as to how we could possibly get a truck unloaded and returned on the following Monday. We found Matt's Moving online and gave them a call. They were wonderful! They instantly said working on a Sunday and Mothers Day would be no problem. The quote to unload a truck was better than others I had call. The movers called an hour before showing up at our house. Unloaded our very heavy bedroom furniture, carried all of it up the stairs all without doing any damage to our new home. They did a lot of work for us that day. I will always call Matt's when I need a hand in moving. Great job guys! more

First, let me say I have never taken the time to review anything on the internet...but I felt very compelled to do so after this experience. I hired 3 movers for a recent move and absolutely could not have been any happier. I have hired movers before and never expected such a polite and timely crew to show up. Unfortunately, we were moving while raining and there was a tremendous amount of mud already on the ground (thanks to a lovely spring) but they took extra steps to ensure that everyting stayed dry and clean. I can honestly say, there was no trace of anyone in the home! In addition to the aforementioned items, they were extremely fast and hard working. That might seem like a given, but there a number of other moving companies who know they are getting paid by the hour and don't appear to be in any rush to get ANYTHING done. Don't hesitate to call Matt's Moving...they really were great! more

Although they had the best prices and strongest references, they arrived 10 minutes late. Late is late in my book and I told them so. They were very efficient and made up for it in the end. They completed the job 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I would've given them 5 stars had they arrived on time. This is also why I didn't give them a tip. Cons: late more

Matt's Moving provided a moving service better than I could of imagined. They were very professional and effecient during the entire process. They used the highest possible care while moving my valuable furniture. Everything was wrapped and padded and carefully protected. I felt very secure that my belongings were in safe hands.
