better off calling papa johns.... could barely taste the tomatoes.... and whats up with the dough?... is that the gmo effects on grains? Pros: hype Cons: yukk!!!

MATTHEWS HAS THE BEST PIZZA IN MARYLAND. ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH THE WAY YOU WANT EVERYTIME. I COULD EAT TWO OR MORE THE PIZZA IS THAT GOOD. THE STAFF IS SO NICE AND ALL HAVE GREAT PERSONALITIES. I have been returning to Matthew's for Pizza since I am about six years old - about 40 years - so what does that tell you. It is unique - it has a flavor and texture all its own. I highly recommend it. Pros: service, very good pizza, cute place Cons: bad parking more

Different than any you may be used to. No frills. Definitely a homemade style that's exuded by the non-commercial crust, the olde-world sauce, and just enough cheese.(If you even decide to choose it as a topping. At this place, it's not unusual to order a pie w/o cheese.) Wherever you live, be it city or county, it's worth the trip to this parkside joint...!!! more

Despite gimmicks (who really wants cheese in their crust anyway?) and giveaways (free cinnamon sticks...with Pizza???), nobody can touch the quality, ambience and history of Matthews. Pizza Lovers Heaven 8/10/2002

Just thinking about Matthew's Pizzeria makes my mouth water for their 3 Cheese Pizza. I'm in my 50's and have been going there ever since I can remember. I lived in the area as a kid and do some traveling to get there now, but it is worth every mile traveled. My co-workers are ready to order when someone mentions Matthew's. Big orders are no problem. Uummm, see ya Hon, gotta go for a ride. more

The Best Pizza You Have Ever Had 8/8/2002

Anytime anyone visits me from out of town I take them to Matthew's Pizza or at least order out from there. I want everyone to have the chance to have the best pizza they will ever have. I've lived in numerous cities and states and this is by FAR the best pizza ever and everyone I introduce to it says the same (so it's not just me). Their Crab Pie is to die for, their crust is amazing and everything on their menu (Oh, my God, their meatballs!) is very reasonably priced, unbelievably priced for the quality of their homemade food. Pros: Pizza, Meatballs, Salads, All Food, Staff & Price Cons: Nothing more
