Awesome adrenaline rush through the Alpines! 6/25/2008

One of the few rides that?s present at Disneyland but not at sister park Disney World in Florida, the Matterhorn Bobsleds is a high-speed coaster that?s perfect anyone a little intimidated by roller coasters since it doesn?t have any big drops. The ride is mostly just a fast and windy ride down the mountain that at points is in the dark. Since this attraction doesn?t have a fast pass, it?s a good one to wait in line in while you?re waiting to use a fast pass at another ride. more

not scary at all.... 6/11/2005

i was always scared of this ride growing up. i never went on it until i turned 16, when my brother bribed me to get on. i've loved the ride ever since! the left track is always the one to go on. it'll be interesting to see how they've redone the ride for the 50th anniversary. great ride! Pros: fun ride, exciting Cons: long lines more

  • In Short
Even at almost a half-century in age, the Matterhorn is still arguably the most exciting ride at Disneyland. Part fun and laughter, part thrills, it's suitable for most ages. Bobsleds on steel rails hurl daring mountaineers along a herky-jerky trip past waterfalls and a roaring abominable snowman before finally plummeting safely into an alpine pond (guests do stay dry). While the bobsleds go through sharp turns and tunnels, there's no real fright or especially steep descents.
