Salad was the best part of the meal. Dinner had a soupy sauce with chicken and small pieces of lump crab. Incredibly boring. Not worth a return

Not Worth the Time or Price 11/29/2011

I'm local and have been here several times because it's convenient for friends of mine. I have never been impressed by the food, service is better, but overall there are so many more restaurants in the area that are so much better. Not worth it. more

Don't waste your money! 9/4/2011

Went to this place the other night, was very disappointed. 8$ for a glass of house wine. The entree that my date order was wrong. Pizza was burnt, no bread on the table. Had linguine with white clam sauce that had clumps of flour in it. I'm sorry that I didn't send the pizza and entrees back and just had the soup, that was about the only edible thing we ordered. I'm too nice at times. How does an Italian restaurant not put bread on the table, especially after you order soup? I'm giving one star because the waitress was very polite. Never again. more

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! 3/4/2011

I was in Moosic on business and decided to try this place because of it's convenience to my hotel. I walked in and decided to sit at the bar. It was a Friday night and busy. It was evident by all the dirty glasses on top of the bar. The bar looked like it had not been cleaned in hours. There were numerous people walking behind the bar and yet no one asked me if they could help me. I politely asked someone for a drink and a menu and she gave me a dirty and ripped paper menu. I was not impressed. It was average. My service at the bar was not great, finally after seeing numerous people come behind the bar, one person said she would be taking my order. I then decided to go with the "" number one seller"" on the menu, Chicken and Crab dish. It was average. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the bar and also the feeling that I was a bother to everyone instead of a paying customer. I will never return on my future visits on business. I was very disappointed. It's a shame because the place has a lot of potential. more

made my mother cry 10/21/2010

I just received a call from my mother, and she was in tears. She had made arrangements for my daughter's Christening lunch at Trattoria Bella. In brief, the management there was deceptive, rude, and threatening. My mother spoke with the staff regarding this event, and expressly stated that she did not want the event held in their back room, which is dark and windowless. She was very clear that we would just reserve a room elsewhere if that was all that was available. We heard nothing from them until 2 days before our event, when we contacted them to confirm our guest list. We were then told that the only room that was available was the same back room that we had expressly told them we did not want. They stated that they had booked another event in the sunny room, and that that room was no longer available. I am quite certain that they were fully aware prior to two days before the date that another event had been booked, yet they chose to not disclose this information until they had assumed that we would have no other options. I contacted the manager in an attempt to remedy this situation. In short, she completely denied that this conversation had taken place with my mother, and told me that we had no other options available to us. (She then, later, did admit that this conversation had taken place, but tried to just make excuses like “Someone forgot to put it in the book…”) When I informed her that I would be posting this information on the web, she tersely replied ""Well, two can play at that game!"" So, in short, I guess that Trattoria Bella’s idea of customer service includes deception, denial, and threatening customers. More importantly, they made my mother cry, and I simply cannot tolerate that. more

Great Italian Restaurant 9/27/2009

We're from out of town but the Mariott recommended the restaurant. My family is probably the hardest to please when it comes to food. We loved everything we had, which never happens. I have to rave about the chicken and crab dish, I'm actually craving it right now as I type. My daughter had the penne with a vodka sauce and she said it was the best she had. The waitress was nice enough to give us a container to take home to New Jersey. My daughter is a student at the University of Scranton and I am very happy that she's only a freshmen so I can keep coming back to this restaurant. I hope my review helps. Ciao.
