I swear John Anagnopoulos is the rudest person I have ever came across in my life. My husband and I have been going there for years and had the worst experience this weekend. He cussed my out in front of like 50 people! He thought I elbowed him but it was so packed by the restrooms I don't know who did it or if I did it on accident. He would not except my apology and told me he would throw me the F!@# out on my face. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life. When he walked away everyone in line was like why did he do that and it was uncalled for. I don't know who he is or if he's someone important to the company but what a JERK!!!! We will never walk into that place ever again nor my friends or family!!!! more

  • The Matador is a downtown Phoenix landmark. In the heart of downtown for 30 years. The restaurant's authentic Sonoran Mexican food has won numerous Best of Phoenix awards. It has attracted politicians, actors and athletes, many of whom have become regular patrons. There are many reasons to visit the Matador, its banquet facilities and Friday Night Club. featuring well-known local DJ AL3 and Manic Hispanic. Also featuring the Mariachi Group Tierra Del Sol Sundays 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Matador has come a long way since opening in 1976,seating 140 patrons (two blocks from its current location) which now seats 500.
