Master Muffler & Brakes

This is the very first review I have ever written for anything! Really. But I was so impressed with the service and honesty that I received at Master Muffler yesterday, I just had to seek a way to share. As a woman walking into an auto repair shop, I always feel like I'm going to be treated condescendingly, And I always get my guard up, ready to question recommended repairs. But yesterday I walked in and told them I had an exhaust pipe hanging down (it had broken off the bolts). They put it on the lift, inspected it and said they could cut it and weld a sleeve on for $30.00. $30.00!! They could have told me $150.00 and I wouldn't have known any better or been in a position to go somewhere else to check it. They said it would be about about 10 minutes to do it, and I was driving down the road 15 minutes later a very happy camper! Talk about honesty and integrity! I couldn't be any more impressed!\r \r These guys have got a customer for life with me! Don't hesitate to go to this shop! You'll be amazed to find a genuine trustworthy auto repair shop, I'm so happy to find them! more

I don't normally write reviews, in fact this is my first one here at Citysearch, but my experience at the Hillsboro Master Muffler & Brakes renews my faith in the auto repair industry.\r \r I recently had my brakes checked at the Les Schwab here in Hillsboro, they basically said I needed everything, so I called around and got some prices. Luckily I was in having my exhaust repaired at Master Muffler the very next day. I noticed they had a brake rack, and were also repairing brakes on a large service truck. I told him about my quote for brake work from Les Schwab, and he let me know that MM does free brake inspections, and he would be glad to verify the repairs needed and give me a quote after he completed my exhaust repairs.\r \r To make a long story short (too late) he checked all the brakes out, and give me an estimate that was half of what Les Schwab's was. He took the time to show me, while he was inspecting the brakes, and measuring parts, exactly what he was charging me for. I had the brakes repaired by Master Muffler that Saturday and couldn't be happier. The estimated price was the price I was charged, no add on charges.\r \r It's now a year later, and I am still happy with my purchases there! more
