I agreed to a quote to get my transmission replaced without asking for an itemized breakdown. After the work was done (quickly, completely and without any future problems) i got the itemized bill which showed the cost of the parts, i expected the rebuilt transmission to cost from 1,300 to 1,900 based on my own internet searches and comparable shopping. They charged me 2,500 without labor or other parts (radiator, hoses, etc...) and didn't offer to show me the parts invoices. So while i feel the work was done right and timely, i question the actual cost of parts and whether they are marking these parts up and passing the increase on to customers. Granted, i didnt ask for to see their parts invoices, it would have been nice to see them and would have not caused me to question their billing practices. Not only do these guys know thier stuff, but they explain it to you at a level you can understand and they charge a reasonable rate. They don't rip you off because your female and go the extra mile to make you a happy customer. I recommeng Marvin Smith's over any in the area!
