I was very disappointed. I don't mind paying the higher rate, but I expected quality work. They quoted $180.00 for 1 hour of work to clean my 1br/1ba apartment -- and it is small!...

Marvel Maids Rock 5/8/2008

We have used Marvel Maids for over a year and are very pleased with their work. Our house is always spotless and fresh when we get home after they've been here. We also appreciate the fact that they use earth-friendly cleaning products. Pros: Superior results, legal, well-paid employees. Cons: Pricey. more

Overpriced and poor quality 4/16/2008

Good Cleaners - Bad Communication 3/12/2007

I hired Marvel Maids to clean my condo on a bi-weekly basis. The company set me up for a Monday morning 8AM schedule. I was asked for my credit card number and informed that unless I called to cancel two business days before the cleaning, I'd be charged no matter what. They quoted me $155 per cleaning and that works out to about $100 per hour. Pretty spendy for maid service. If they do a good job and show up on time, I guess it's not outrageous, but at that price, I expect a top-quality product. Having been a realtor for several years I have come to appreciate the value of a business or individual that can actually back up their promises. Marvel Maids have come through with flying colors!!! Their staff is efficient and a pleasure to work with. I have been completely comfortable in recommending them to friends and clients. They have also passed on the good word about this company. I have never seen such a well run company in the cleaning industry! The staff showed up when promised and delivered way beyond my expectations! They are a little more expensive than some, but from what they said, they pay their employees well and it shows! They are in my house every week now. more

Great Cleaning Job and Very nice 5/4/2006

I called Marvel Maids because a friend recommened them to me. I was a little hesitant because I have not been happy with other companies here in the past. I have to say that when they left, my home was sparkling clean! The cleaners spoke english and were very polite and acommodating. I asked them to do a couple of extra things that I originally didn't want done, and they were happy to do it. I just couldn't believe how pleasant the whole experience was. I have since signed up to have them come every two weeks and they have done a great job every time. It's so nice to have a reliable cleaning service finally. I would Definitely recommend them to anyone!! more

Unreliable, expensive and a bit rude 4/18/2006

We scheduled with this service, after much rearranging of our workdays. I left my credit card on file, as requested, since there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. I was clear that a cancellation on my part would mean the $200 fee would end up on my credit card. An hour and a half before they were supposed to clean, we got cancelled because, the receptionist Kaylee told us, ""we sent the cleaners home otherwise they would be sitting around for an hour with nothing to do"". So much for the very one-sided cancellation policy. Apparently an afternoon of our time taken off from work doesn't figure into their cancellation policy. I hope I never hear of this place again. They use environmentally friendly supplies. We have a large home in Pac Heights. They came when they said they would and left our place looking fabulous for a dinner party we had on Friday evening. more

i found their service to be overpriced. at least 2-3 times above average rates in SF. they also did a terrible job in cleaning the house. we had to hire someone else to come in after marvel to clean. they did not dust or mop the floors at all. more

Very disappointing 2/15/2006

After doing a good deal of research amongst different cleaners, I decided to go with Marvel Maids. I was assured that their service was far superior to others. After using them now for a few months, I have been very disappointed. They charge 2-3 times that of others, and the results are poor. I have had to clean my home after their ""superior"" cleaning every time. In speaking with others it seems that they service has deteriorated in the past year. All this at $250 per cleaning. Poor Value for One Time Cleaning/Small Apartments 7/18/2005

Upon trying to schedule an appraisal for my 700 square foot apartment, the manager did not want to hear the size of my apartment, or the areas which needed to be cleaned (just the bathroom and kitchen, plus dusting). When he heard that it was a one-time cleaning, he informed me that the cost was $160 -- more than any of the other 5 places I'd called (including a natural cleaning product service), and refused to refer anyone else based on the criteria I mentioned following his price. Marvel Maids knows best 12/4/2002

Have you ever noticed how its easier to see dirt in someone elses home? I have to admit that when I called Marvel Maids & asked for a cleaning, (the first professional cleaning my home has had), I was a little insulted when they told me that it would take 2 people 4 hours each to clean my little house. I watched those two cleaners like a hawk, and I must admit that they worked really hard to get the job done. In retrospect I can say that I was a little blind to my own dirt. My advice would be to allow their booking staff to guide you. Don't let your pride get in the way. They're professionals, thousands of cleanings have given them reliable data on how long it takes.. Absolutely fabulous 11/5/2002

I've been using cleaning services for over 10 years and Marvel Maids is easily the best company I've dealt with. Their customer service is very professional, and their cleaners are a delight. Very well turned out, business-like and fast. They went to work without delay, getting to places I hadn't thought of, erasing stains on my carpet and upholstery and assisting with some long outstanding projects. Personal Attention 11/5/2002

Marvel Maids. What a find! I love the fact that the Marvel Maids cleaners arrive sans all that heavy equipment, instead cleaning my house with the same tools and products I carefully selected; they use my products on my house, exactly as I would do (if I actually had the time to clean my own house). The cleaners may not be the same people each time they come, but they are all well trained and polite. And, the cost is VEY competitive. Pros: Job done right, Job done carefully, great value more

A+ Service!! 6/25/2002

I just had a cleaning since moved into the new apartment. Our new apartment had some spots left that could use some more cleaning. So I called Marvel Maids since they seemed to do business here in Bay Area for long time. When they came and cleaned my place, those spots I saw were gone at the end of the day, and boy, it looked like going into a brand new house! Smelled nice, too. And I ened uo hiring them regularly. I'd recommend them to do yours as well...because they do A+ service. more
