Martial Arts Academy of Holly Springs - Arbor Creek

I just want to take the time to let everyone know that there is a NEW OWNER/MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL at this address/location. They are NOT associated or a part of the previous academy. Please note this as you read older reviews. The new academy is Evolution Centers of Martial Arts and has never been a part of MAA. I only post this as there has been some confusion on this fact. Landlord at the 101 Hyannis Drive, Holly Springs, NC location has forced Mr. Lessing to vacate the property because Mr. Lessing wrote 2 checks that came back as NSF and owes the landlord roughly $20,000 in back rent. Landlord is going to investigate criminal charges against Mr. Lessing. more

My children have been attending for 2 months and so far, the school has exceeded my expectations. The school provides an excellent ""family rate"", no yearly contracts, and reasonable testing fees. The owner makes a point to get to know each child/family. The instructors provide an excellent workout and have the ability to teach students at all skill levels. My children continue to enjoy going 2-3 times per week... they look forward to the tough (but fun) workout. more

I find Mr. Thomas Lessing to be a genuine, sincere, compassionate, and hard-working instructor. I have heard his speak of his students and it is obvious how he cares deeply for them. If he were ""in it for the money"", he would charge more (he less than the going rate). I very well know that some use reviews such as these for personal revenge, and this is sad. It should be a crime. Below is a personal attack from a parent who's child did not pass a test, a student Mr. Lessing was trying to teach to put effort in a test and less fooling around. Anyway, I trust my instincts, and they all tell me that Mr. Lessing is genuine. I am NOT a part of his school, and he does NOT know that I am writing this, nor did he ask me to. My heart tells me that this is one wonderful instructor and a good honest school. more

The owner, Mr. Lessing, cannot manage money. He owes his past landlord money. He is late on his current rent on a regular basis. His current landlord put a forclosure notice on his door to force Mr. Lessing to pay his rent. Time Warner Cable came recently and removed their cable box for non payment of services. Never ever pay with a credit card. He double bills students credit cards. more
