I can't believe after being a local and coming here for years that we received such horrible service!!!! I ordered the spanish omelet and it was not great and not what I had excepted, so I asked to order something else after only eaten one bit. I was told that all they could do was box it up for me and take it home and I would have to pay for it and anything else I ordered to swap it out with. I'm not one to send anything back so it was bad enough to do so I could not believe that was there so called policy. To make matters worse the cashier Lezette came over to our table to reprimand us on how I was being wasteful and that the omelet was not made wrong and everyone else that ordered it loved it. Implying there was something wrong with me. My husband who is a GM at a local restaurant/bar in Redondo could not believe what he was hearing and mentioned that this is not any kind of customer service and that we are not looking for a free meal just that we want something that I can want to eat rather than something I was not happy with. Lezette told him that's just how Martha's does things. IM SURE THAT THE OWNER WOULD THINK DIFFERENT!! We will NEVER go back and could not believe that someone would go out of there way to make their customers feel so in the wrong over something so simple and make such a scene to the surrounding tables. more

LOOK! This place is in a prime local right... so it's gonna get busy any time of the week. The food is great, nice and healthy, the staff are great, of course they are gonna be rushed off their feet when busy.... if you want quick gimme something quick go to McD's in where- eversville...... this is the beach... you should be happy you rocked down here here and you are going to sit on that lovely sand soon....your lucky bast***s tohave a place like this on your doorstep.. Great Eggs Hermosa - Great potatos and nice sized portions. I've gone here several times b/c its so close to my house BUT.....it's a little pricey AND I feel like the wait staff tries to rush you out of there....I realize its a busy place and there is a wait but i still don't think they should be rushing me through my meal. \r \r Also on Sunday's they close at noon. I went there for brunch a few weeks ago and have to say I found a new favorite place to go. The food was great. the service was great and the ocean view( its right on te beach) was spectacular. THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE PLACE. IT DOES GET CRAZY ON THE WEEKENDS, BUT WHAT PLACE AT THE BEACH DOESN'T,THE SAND IS ONLY 75 YARDS AWAY. EVERYONE IS VERY NICE AND PLEASANT. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS. ABOUT 4 TIMES A YEAR. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD FOOD. ON OCCASSION THERE IS A WAIT BUT IT MOVES PRETTY FAST.ONE OF THE DIAMONDS IN THE RUFF IN HERMOSA BEACH. Martha's seemed like a good idea - a chance to visit with my son in the fresh air on a Sunday morning over a delicious brunch. The hostess was pleasant and friendly, a bit frazzled, but who could blame her given the numbers of customers baking in the sun, waiting for a table? She said 45 minutes, and we thought that would be ok. An hour and 20 minutes later, we were shown to our sticky table in the corner. We then waited and waited and waited - for the drinks order, for the food order, for the food and for the check. No wonder so many people were waiting so long to be seated. The pace of service was glacial. This would have been forgivable if the food was fabulous, but, alas, it was not. The eggs benedict were cold, the hollandaise cold and frothy, and the pancake utterly unremarkable. The ultimate insult came when we tried to retrieve our check so we could get out of there and were told to sit down and wait for it to come. Have a picnic on the beach instead. I love the location of this restaurant, it's right next to the beach. It's truly a wonderful place to sit outside and have breakfast. The eggs at Martha's are to die for!! It doesn't matter how they cook them, I guarantee that they will be great!! The menu choices are endless, but my favorite thing would be the California eggs. i had the cilantro soup and a sandwich. the soup is very flavorful and refreshing. prices are a lil steep but hey someones got to pay the rent at this beautiful location. their home fries/potatoes are also delicious. fun place to bring friends from out of town for a nice lunch or after a nice walk on the strand.\r Pros: fresh food, location Cons: parking, lil pricey more

What a great place to have breakfast/brunch on a nice morning. It does get crowded on weekends, but eat here once and you'll understand why. I've never had anything bad here, but particularly recommend all the eggs benedict-like items (eggs manhattan, eggs hermosa, eggs redondo...). \r \r (Oh, and to the reviewer who can't figure out why people tend to wear bicycle shorts here: it's probably because there's a bike path along the beach and people tend to ride their bikes there.) Everyone raves about this place, but I can't figure out why. The service is lax, if you're lucky. The menu prices are high and the plates don't seem to justify it. Worst of all is having to dine with a restaraunt full of folks running around in bicycle shorts. Why do people insist on wearing those things...and in a place where people are trying to enjoy a meal, for crying out loud?! Where is the real breakfast joint in hermosa? Great casual spot right on the beach...the best part about the breakfast was the FRESH squeezed orange juice, which was chilled as well. loved it. Good spanish omelet, with amazing homefries, and the homemade jam is well worth the trip as well...Service was a little too casual for my taste, but cant expect prompt behavior for a beachside eatery, i suppose, crosses theme rules. more

Breakfast in the open air, sun shinning down, the sound of waves breaking in the distance, imaginative menue executed to perfection, good service, reasonable prices. If this isn't beach breakfast heaven then it doesn't exist. Parking is a challenge but its such a nice neighborhood we don't mind walking their via the strand. Getting there early beats the weekend crowds and gets your day off to an early start. Pros: everthing Cons: parking more
