I went to Marmin because my insurance company recommends them and uses them for estimates, so I wouldn't have to make a separate visit to an adjuster. I brought my car to them last week after being hit by a deer. The whole front of my BMW was destroyed. I picked up my completed car this evening, one week later. the car looks brand new. I made the right move. \r \r At first I was panicked as to where I would bring my car, I thought the closest body shop would be in one of the outer boroughs not 7 blocks from my pad. So I call AAA and the take my crippled auto over to Marmin on 73rd. From the start I gained a sense of comfort. Although its a material object we tend to get emotionally attached to our rides and need some comforting when their ATTACKED BY A DAMN oops sorry calm down. \r Well my insurance co. told me I had a lifetime guarantee on all repair which Marmin confirmed. \r Parts took a few day, paint etc a few more and my baby was ready to roll in 5 days. I did have to pay my deductible due to the fact the wonderful renter took off. Thanks Marmin for a job well done and helping me deal with the emotions associated with a crime so heinous.. Couldn't have been better. Insurance said it would take three to four days to get an adjuster to look at the damage,\r Marmin got him there the same day. Scott Janicke worked\r on my car; he was always accessible and always up to date on information about the status quo. It was a difficult job involving damaged suspension, tierods and axle, not to mention other things ( I was struck by a hit and run driver)\r and the car runs now as well as if not better than before. \r I am happy to recommend Marmin to anyone. I had a bad accident and my car needed to be towed. my insurance company recommended Marmin Collision, so I followed there advise. I'm glad I did. this being my first accident, I had no idea of what to do. After calling Marmin, they put me right as ease. Dani was so helpful and informative. I loved her. There whole staff made this bad experience so easy and comforting. My car was ready when promised. When I brought my car to the Audi dealer for service, they couldn't tell where the damage was. that was good enough for me. Their courtesy and professionalism blew me away. I dont want another accident, but I would certainly recommend all my friends more

Wow! Stay away from this place. I took my car in to repair some storm damage and resolve some body damage. I knew it might take a month to repair everything. WRONG! It took over 3 months (not exaggerating) to get my car back from Marmin. Why so long? Who knows? They pass the buck around their office like it is an Olympic sport. At one point the service guy I was dealing with suddenly didn’t work there anymore. They don’t return calls when promised. I also enjoyed giving them my phone number nearly every single time I called. It seems the main issues is that they are overbooked and will not admit it will take them a really, really, really long time to get to your car. They returned my car twice when the original issue had not been resolved. Two other times they had me trek over to pick up my car when it wasn't actually ready. I finally got my car back and it still wasn't 100%. The new repair guy also said they had detailed my car. Ha! They hadn't even bothered to vacuum the carpet and wipe the dust off the dash. And I believe the other poster, Marielang, is right about the parking tickets. I say several cars with service hang tags parked on the street. Most of them had NYC parking tickets on them. Stay away. more

Marmin Collision Specialists did not properly repair my car and was ready to accept payment for work not done. Not only that, the invoice shows they planned to overcharge me more than $39. They also did not call me--or attempt to try to reach me when they didn't get my voicemail to let me know the car was ready and the insurance company wouldn't pay another day for the rental. If you can get the attention of one of the harried service assistants in the paper piled office, then they seem to know what and how to fix on the car. The auto body/auto repair end of the business seems very good. However, they double parked my car and got a ticket. Said they would pay it, but it has taken months and several calls to get it handled. They are also very delinquent in sending the paperwork to the insurance company. Again, it took several months and numerous requests for Marmin to respond to NYS requests for documentation. Annoying. more
