HUSKY APPROVED 3/4/2010

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. My husky Tundra and I have been going to them since I rescued her in 2004. In November 2009, she began to fail from liver disease. Dr, Jack was just wonderful with her. In January, I had to make that dreadful decision to let her go. Dr Brandy, (also my cousin) came over to our house for 5 nights on her own time to administer fluids to get her to the weekend. On a cold, windy Saturday morning January 16, Dr Brandy administered the injection in the forest preserve Tundra loved to visit. Markham's entier staff was very compassionate and I'll never be able to thank them enough for their years of excellent care of my little girl. I just adopted another Husky and Markham Animal Clinic will be the only vet clinic I will ever trust with my best friend. more

excellent! 3/31/2009

My pets have been visiting the Markham clinic for many years and all I have to say is that they are excellent, compassionate and caring. Dr. Jack is the nicest person and great with all the animals I've ever brought there. He can usually tell at a glance what is wrong with your beloved pet and will take all the steps necessary to make them better or if it is "time" he also handles that with such compassion and love. I've never been sorry that I've gone there. more

Priority is Pets 10/10/2008

I have had two dogs at this clinic, and they've been awesome to my pets! Dr. Heidi found a fast-growing lymphoma in my Brittany Spaniel and was great about educating me about my options and about her prognosis. While the initial tumors were very small, they grew rapidly and I needed to put her to sleep only days after the bumps were found. The staff was wonderful. Dr. Heidi even called me to relay her condolences and sent a very nice card.\r \r My other dog is a Pit Bull that does bite when he's afraid. He was treated poorly at Banfield so I knew that Markham was the remedy for his insecurity. \r The staff are fabulous! Jessica always has a smile and Chris is always willing to help. Great place to go for your pet! more

WORRIED MORE ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE THAN YOUR ANIMAL 10/10/2008

My dog was horribly abused by his previous owner and is documented as a fear biter...not a bad thing, even managable for most breeds, however this is a pitbull. I initially brought him to Markham animal clinic thinking they would be patient and understanding with him. The dog generally is a shivering wreck from the time we walk in the door. Pros: Friendly staff, easy to get an appointment! Cons: Fluffing the bill EVERY TIME! Nightmare to get out of the parking lot. more

Want the best veterinarian possible? 5/8/2008

This is my first-time message. I feel so strongly about this place that I must make it known. Simply put, Markham Animal Clinic is the absolute BEST. I have always had many animals. I can't describe the relief in knowing I've finally found a vet that I can trust completely. They have treated each and every one of my animals with the most accurate and utterly compassionate care I could ever hope for. I was initially stunned with the concern I received - from not only the doctors but the support staff as well. I will never - ever - trust my animals to anybody else. On top of all that, their prices are quite reasonable. Even if you do not live in the area, they are worth the drive. They are located within blocks of I57. Pros: Caring and compassionate, short waiting time, parking ample, friendly staff. Cons: None that I have found yet. more

wonderful and caring 12/7/2007

Last saturday, my kitty was very sick and I had to bring her to the vet, she was 19 years old and a very special part of my life. The vet did everything he could for her, without going over board, they were all very nice, my shadow kitty passed away at the vets office, I was very sad but there was nothing anyone could have done to save her. The staff at the clinic was wonderful, the doctor was wonderful, they gave me all the time I needed to greive over my pet, before I took her home. Almost a week later I received this very personal and special letter from the vet, offering me their sympathies, I was so touched that they would even think of sending me a card, I mean after all she had never been to their clinic before I would recommend them, and today I am going to pick up a new kitty, to fill my life with joy and will continue to use them for any current pet and future pet I may own. thank you Dyan more

Great care for your animal 7/30/2005

This is a small animal clinic with about 3 vets. If your animal has a problem, the doctors ask many questions to make sure they have a clear understand and help rectify the situation. My cat had bowel movement problems and the vet was able to clear it up within minutes. He also prescribed medicine that has helped my cat ever since. The prices are reasonable at this location. more
