If ever there was a restaurant that I was glad friends introduced us to this is the one. We went to dinner there about two months ago and just fell in love with it. The decor is great, the people are friendly, and the ambiance alone gives a very homey feeling. This is definitely the place to bring a family into to help celebrate a great occasion. There was a birthday being celebrated the night we were there. The cake they brought out looked so good that we thought about "crashing" the group just to get a slice of it.
Our friends also recommended the Turkish coffee. I don't drink coffee but my husband does so they split a pot. He fell in love with it. Said it was very sweet tasting.
He also liked the taste of the Wheat Poppyseed bread that he bought a loaf (which didn't last very long in our house and we don't eat bread very often.)
So, if you are out looking for good quality food that won't cost an arm and/or a leg, and you like friendly people, go to Marie Catrib's. It would be well worth it (you shouldn't walk out hungry anyway.)
