Leaps and bounds better than Mykonos. The food is fresh, the prices reasonable, the service attentive and the taste is the best around. I'm use the Greek Town in Chicago and this reminds me of home. Thank you Maria! more

We live 3 minutes away and had never been! We decided to give it a try yesterday (Valentine's Day) seeing it was a weeknight and knowing how every single restaurant in Miami gets packed... then again they always are! When we arrived the place was packed. The setting is modest, but extremely clean. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered their meatballs, of which a friend had highly recommended. My husband ordered their lamb shank. We were served within 15 minutes. Food was excellent! We also tried their beer- Mythos, mild lager, which was tasty. Then shared their homemade custard dessert, which was amazing! We will definitely be back there soon! more

Do you love Greek food but cannot afford $1400 airfare to Athens? Go to Maria's instead. I have been going there for years and am always impressed by the great service and the warm smiles of recognition even if I just may look vaguely familiar. it's Greek to me why so many people rave about this place. The staff was rude,so we left a 5-cent tip; our server followed us to our car to ask if it was a mistake or oversight. We replied that we had left what we thought they deserved, our answer was"That's the trouble with you rich snobs". NEVER AGAIn...... and the food wasn't all that great either... we've had better at food courts in malls! more

Was looking on my iPhone after seeing cirque downtown, found this little place and it was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMINAL! my girlfriend and I were in heaven there, the humus was fantastic and our gyro platters were superb. All other plates around us were amazing looking. WOULDNT THINK TWICE about eating here again more

Maria's is a great and homey restaurant. They have a good variety of Greek staples, as well as daily specials. Everything we had was super fresh and delicious, and the service was very nice. Must try the fried calamari and the baklava... yummy! Beware, it's not open on Sundays, and Saturdays only for dinner. A definite repeat! more

Im from Chicago which is known for their Greek food and I would have to say this is the best Greek food I have tried in Miami. \r \r I love Gyros and I've tried a couple in the Miami area and all of them have been crap! This place is the only place that reminds me of a gyro from back home. They pack so much meat in them that you have to eat some of the meat so you can close the pita.\r \r Every time I come here I have to order one to eat and one to take home! more

My wife and I have been enjoying marias for over 15 years. This family-run homestyle Greek cafe is fantastic. If you're there on a Friday, try their special stuffed grape leaves. The lamb shank is also always a treat. I think they added the appetizer sampler to their menu because of me! Whatever you get at Maria's, you're sure to enjoy it. FYI- parking is via streetside meters. more

Went there at 9:30pm, the staff was not too glad to see us, even though the sign says open until 10:00pm. The fried pitas were cold and stale as was the spinach pie, and the mousaka was warm but not really very tasty. The highlight of the evening was having our plates removed before we were even done... rude staff and lousy food make this the last time for me... more
