Mare Tomaski Therapeutic Massage

After years of pain, a few car accidents, compounded stress, lots of massage therapists, and a few Rolfers I found Mare. She was listed on the KMI site and I was willing to try anything to feel comfortable again in my own body. She knows structure like no other bodyworker I have ever met. She uses exact precision and technique like no other, not the brute force many others claim will work. I won't lie, some of the KMI work can be uncomfortable, but you will have LASTING results. Also, Mare is so versed in different modalities that you can see her for chronic pain, like I initially did, then if you just want to relax she can do a full craniosacral session or a mix of different modalities. You tell her what you need- to relax, to get this pain out of my shoulder, etc.., and she will adjust the session accordingly. Over the last 17 years I have been to countless massage therapist, physical therapists, Rolfers, and other body workers in all different modalities from the "out there" to the medical based; Mare is by far the BEST out there and well worth the cost. This woman is an artist and healer extraordinare. The care that she took, and the skill that she has is unique in a massage therapist. She is playing with energy, she is dancing with the muscles, and then she is like a magician with that cranial sacral therapy. My brain just went totally quiet, maybe for the first time in my entire life I understand what it really means to be relaxed. more

I too found Mare in a listing, and am so glad I took a chance. She is amazing at finding the root of pain, and finding ways to heal. She's clearly been trained in a number of different modalities, and knows how nad when to employ them. She is more than a massage therapist. She is a healer. more

I can't believe I lucked out and found Mare through the phone book more than 10 years ago. I've never wanted to go anywhere else - and only do when she's booked weeks and weeks out. She spent a lot of time talking to me about a variety of health concerns and offered advice that has been helpful. She has a calming presence and I totally fell asleep, gone!! The best foot massage I have ever had, seriously. My body felt light, free, and I was so relaxed I actually could not get off the table. She did cranial sacral therapy for the last 15 minutes and my mind was so peaceful. I have felt so good for the whole week. All other massage will never do now. I am ruined!!! I found Mare on the internet, (after having a few massages in other places, that felt good but did not help my pain go away) I did not really think massage was worth the money. I saw a few things about her that seemed different, I found her web site and she seemed to be more educated and had been around a long time. My mom said she'd pay for it as a gift for my birthday so I went. First of all Mare is so much more than a massage therapist. She is knowledgeable about nutrition, de toxification, and yoga, and she really seemed to know the body in ways no other massage therapist I went to did. Also her hands are magical! they found every knot! It didn;t really even hurt that much because she really moved her hands slowly, and she got really deeply into my muscles knots. She stretched me out, she did hot rocks on me, she went deep but I also felt totally relaxed. I fell asleep! She also did some kind of head holding technique that made me feel like I was floating on clouds. This was the best massage I have ever gotten, not that I have had that many but I would go back again for sure. She is awesome! I slept so deep that night, it was so peaceful. I went to see Mare through a recommendation of a friend who raved about her massage. I had pain in my shoulder that has been bothering me for a long time. She spent a long time with me listening to my concerns. I've never had a massage therapist do that. She really understood my pain. I have been to physical therapy, chiropractors, massage therapist but I have never felt as cared for. She worked on places inside my shoulder that have never been worked on. She really seemed to understand and when I left I was pain free for a while! I go now once per month and the pain in my shoulder is pretty much gone. Mare's massage is like no other I have ever had. And I have had a lot of massages, all over the world. She is gentle yet gets every sore spot melted liked butter. She loves what she does there is no doubt about that. Her hands land on you like she is touching something totally precious, you feel so cared for. She is one of the most skilled massage therapists I've ever had a massage from and she really listens and helps me stay pain free. I always leave feeling uplifted and my body feels like all the tough spots have been ironed out. Highly reccommend her!!! more
