I can't get over the fact that the Nutters set up this wonderful place in the middle of nowhere in Orange County. It's a great treat any time of year, but a must on a summer afternoon. I can't think of a better destination to bicycle to. You get your ice cream in the building, and go outside to grab a rocking chair on the porch overlooking the cow pastures. Your fellow ice cream eaters will add interest to your experience...they could be soccer kids, out-of-towners, local farmers, a flock of bicycle riders, you name it. The down side? The ice cream is ok, but most of the flavors aren't pronounced enough to my taste. To me, that's less important than the experience of enjoying this part of rural Orange County, but if they could just step the flavorings up a notch, this place would be Nirvana. Delicious ice cream, charming location, friendly staff, fun other items (you can order a whole cow to take home and grill up). Great outing idea for the family. The ice cream is not too heavy and rich, but just enough. more

The ice cream is second in my opinion. I love the view! It is so nice to sit out on the rocking chairs and enjoy both the view and your ice cream. The expierience is well worth the short trip out of the city. I can just smell that great air now. Pros: The View more

If you are up for an adventure, get the family belted in the car and head on out to Maple View Ice Cream Store. I've never had a flavor I didn't like but the peach is one of my favorites. In addition to the supreme ice cream, you can sit on the porch in a rocking chair and check out the beautiful pastures... it is great family fun (or date fun for that matter!) more
