Post-K still a great place to hear live music, less than $10 to get in most nights. Our favorites are George Porter and whoever he plays with, regular gig almost every week, Bonearama, Papa Grow Funk. Couldn't be a more friendly casual place that locals frequent and where tourists can feel comfortable. Uptown location so you can get out of the French Quarter and see a different side to New Orleans music and music clubs. Bring your dancing shoes, get a few cheap beers and shake your booty til the wee hours. Looks like a total dive bar on the outside, don't judge a book by it's cover some of the best music in New Orleans is playing on the inside!
Pros: Little or no cover, Inexpensive Drinks, Local love it
Cons: JazzFest gets crowded
