My wife and I have been taking our Shetland sheepdog, Molly, to Good Hope Animal Hospital for a few years now. I've had so many good experiences there, that I've decided to stop procrastinating and just sit down and write this review.\r
\r
There are a lot of little things I like, of course. They're ultra-convenient, they can usually get me in pretty quickly when I need to, and I normally don't have much of a wait, if any. Though, I'm not too bothered if I have to wait a few minutes, because I've come to realize that they do have emergencies to attend to from time to time. (It happens, and it's understandable. It's a medical facility, after all, not a fast-food restaurant.)\r
\r
I also like that the technicians and our vet (Dr. Heidecker) take time to address my questions and concerns. And they think ahead, too. They've given me a lot of advice on preventive care so that Molly lives a happier, longer life. I appreciate that they give me tips to prevent problems, even though it means I probably won't have a need to visit them as often. And I suppose that right there says it all. They're obviously more concerned with the health of my dog than they are the health of their bottom line. Even when it comes to treatments or procedures, they've always explained my options and given me choices. I've never felt like anything was being pushed on me.\r
\r
And speaking of the bottom line, if you're reading this, you might also be interested in their pricing. I've used other vet practices in the past, and what I've seen is that Good Hope is not the cheapest place, nor is it the most expensive. They're somewhere in the middle, which I think is just right. I worry when a business doesn't charge enough - I worry that I'm getting inferior service. (As they say, you get what you pay for.) But naturally, I don't like paying the most either. So, I've found a good balance with Good Hope. But truth be told, I'd still take Molly there even if they were the most expensive. Our dog is part of our family, and the care she gets there is well worth any price.\r
\r
There are many other positive things I can say, too, but I don't want to write a book here. Overall, I'd say that if you're looking for quality care at a reasonable price, and if you appreciate warm, down-to-earth people who will treat you and your pet exceptionally well, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better vet practice than Good Hope. I recommend them to everyone I know!
