Manor Tavern

3/17/11 our annual st. pattys get together, service slow and the waitress would not accept $10.00 off coupon.(said it is a holiday) I wish. Used this every year. ordered drinks, appetizer, dinner, coffee plenty money spent, 6 people party. She should have sent her manager to speak to us if the rules have changed about coupon. I felt that we were blown off and will be looking for another placed to celebrate st. pattys day. I guess Halloween is a holiday??? more

We made reservations for Christmas Eve and never got seated. We checked in about 15 minutes early with the maitr'd, and advised him we would be in the bar. He told us it would be a few minutes and that he would come get us when the table was ready. Forty five minutes later we closed out our bar tab and waited another ten minutes - just to be sure. We just went home and enjoyed a frozen pizza. Thanks for a memorable Christmas Eve meal. A mistake we will never again make, but will share with all our friends....... more

My impression was great location....was it the chef's night off? Is there a chef? The food was very mediocre, cooked to temp but no depth of flavor. The french onion soup was softened onions and broth with stale bread, the fish was good but sides were not worth the calories. My advice, get a chef! more

Have been there many times. My family went on a Monday afternoon (after checking the website to see if they were open as some restaurants close on Monday) to celebrate my Mother's 72nd B-Day. Website clearly says they open at 11:30 AM. They were closed - no explanation. Some had traveled far to get there. We ended up at Milton Inn. I sent e-mail 2 times to find out what was going on and no response. Apparently they do not care about their customers. Will not be going back for that reason. Would have been OK if they had just sent a response. I didn't want money, just an explanation. Whatever happened to customer service? I have noticed that the reviews are not very favorable on the web lately. So sad. more

Was at the Tavern last Friday, and not only did you not have our reservations, which we called to confirm, but the service was horrible!! Waited 40 minutes to get waited on. We complained to the manager, but still had to grab the waitress waiting on the next table to get service. Won't be coming back anytime soon. more

I had very high hopes for the Manor Tavern, but I was very disappointed. My rockfish was under cooked, my wife's scallops were nearly raw. The only good part was the pita crab dip that I received. I was there on Friday December 4. Also, I saw the owner very drunk at the bar and stumble home, which made me lose a lot of respect for the Manor Tavern. more

We have a wedding event scheduled for this afternoon. As agreed with the event organizer representing the Manor Tavern, by arrangement, my bride to be was to drop off flowers, decorations, etc. the night prior for the event. The evening Manager/Owner Mark did not have time to work with my bride, spoke down to her, left flowers from the florist to be refrigerated including her bouquet and the cake topper out for well over an hour and with his attitude reduced my bride to tears. Unfortunately this treatment cannot be erased and will be a lasting memory of our wedding day at the Manor Tavern. Further, Mark would not talk to his client under contract with the Manor Tavern to calmly resolve the issue shortly after it occurred, I was hung up on. If I treated my clients this way I would lose my job. I can tell you, we are in too deep to pull out of our event the evening before so after today, we will not set foot in the Manor Tavern again. Now if you can plan an event without encounter with Mark the rest of the staff is outstanding and very professional but remember, profit from your event will go into Mark’s pocket and will be a sore spot with me this afternoon when I receive my bill. more

The restaurant portion of the Manor Tavern is exceptional, but it does not go without saying that the catering would be as well -- but it is. Specializing in weddings, socials, galas, corporate functions and miscellaneous events the Manor brings traditional Maryland warmth to every occasion.
