Manor Six Forks

I've lived at Manor Six Forks for about 20 months now, and my experience has been the opposite of the other reviewers. I've lived in many apartments in Raleigh and this is BY FAR my favorite. The others don't even compare.\r \r Manor has great amenities like the gym, pool, coffee, resident appreciation events, etc. They also continuously upgrade the property and always seem to be cleaning something (the constant sweeping of the garage is actually kind of annoying). I saw a tiny bit of dog poop in a hallway once, but it was gone 24 hours later.\r \r Noise isn't much of a problem. I can hear the person above me stomping around sometimes, but I never hear my next door neighbors on either side. The apartments themselves are nicer than your typical apartment, with upgraded countertops, fixtures, etc. Most of the residents seem to be the just out of college crowd, but there are quite a few people in their 30s and a few older and just a handful of kids. \r \r I'm a young female and live alo more

Wow! Gotta say that I am so upset that I chose Manor Six Forks. The people were so nice when i went on my tour and honestly thought this was a great place. I've had a horrible experience so far here. I've been here a few months and believe me when I say there are stalkers living here! I've had grown men follow me to my car & guys make sexual gestures to me. I went to one of the events they hold & there were guys trying to get with me all night. I've never had this happen before until I moved here! UGH. You get a lot of city people & it's disgusting. Late at night there are people walking around outside the building in the middle of the night, especially on the weekends and they scream and are extremely loud. I'm surprised management doesn't try to control what goes on here! I don't like it at all & don't want to be here anymore. The apartments are not that great anyways and are a little over priced. I have lived here for about a year now & the place has really gone downhill since I moved in. It's not as clean anymore & the maintenance is really behind on up keeping the property. Two of my friends got their car broken into in the parking garage & there has been many car break ins if you park on the street. I would suggest if you are a girl, make sure you are always with someone at night because the area is not safe being so close to the city. Just take the warning and move somewhere a little safer! I went to Manor Six Forks to get rent an apartment. I thought they were absolutely beautiful. I had no idea that they were so pressed for money! I every intention on renting an apartment from them, they offered me a great deal if I signed a lease in 7 days. At that point they were 65% full. I had an issue with my job remaining in Raleigh. So I told them that I needed to wait a week to see if I would remain here. I willingly gave the the app fee and a $200 admin fee that I was to get back in Visa gift cards if I joined them. Unfortunately my job was unclear on their intentions and I couldn't take the apartment at that moment. They never ran my credit card for the admin fee because I thought they understood my situation, NOT! I came back a month later to rent that apartment. I was welcomed with open arms and an invisible knife. We came to an agreement on an apartment I liked and 4 hours later they called and said it was double booked com look at something else. They showed me a handicapped unit at a great rate. They showed me another one with 1 closet. They said give us a few days we will make it right. I informed them I needed to move ASAP! I ended up finding a great apartment in another complex. No love lost until today! I get a text stating they took a $200 from my credit card!!! WTF for what?????? I called them and asked why would you do that 2 and a half months later without any warning or reason? She said that they were sorry but we held an apartment for you for 6 day in a complex that was 65% full! Keep the money you people need it more than I do! more

well......they sure do look nice, but a dishwasher that barely works, hot water heater that runs out of hot water in 5 minutes, and some kind of crazy loud weird noise coming from the top of the building that literally shakes the top 2 floors off and on all day is not worth the price, imo more
