Its been more then six years that we are doing grocery at Subzi Mandi. And i found it the best store in town. we always get everything whatever we need it. Whenever we go there its makes me feel so good bcoz its a one stop shop you can get phones, insurance, salone, botique, money transfer, travelers, at the same place which is kind of save of time. I love Sher-e-Punjab resturent food taste is excellent and its cheap too. i always try to go there to enjoy there so good chat $0.99. They always have some kinds off deals in the store. I love to go subzi mandi always. more

worst food and horrible service 4/25/2010

I have visited their food stall inside and they make dishes out of left-overs.They stink and taste very bad.The most un-hygenic place I ever experienced. The staff and the Manager are most discourteous. All the staff are crying babies. They put the prices in a very small print when they announce any sale.BE CAREFUL more

Sabzi Mandi Sucks!!! 8/9/2009

Omg, I bought two bottles of pickle, milk, and few snacks yesterday. The pickles were expired, the milk turned out bad and the snacks smelled so bad. This store sells the expired items man! Somebody call the health dept. The food sucks as well. I ate some thali there. Gosh, the rice was not cooked properly, and the subji tasted so bad, full of oil. I would say NEVER GO IN THIS STORE, U WILL NOT ONLY WASTE YOUR MONEY, BUT ASLSO BE SICK! more

Not at all good 7/14/2008

This is the worst Indian store i have ever seen.5 of the 10 packed items i bought were rotten. The employees were more busy chatting among themselves rather then paying attention to customers....it's a waste. more

Restaurant "All Over the Map" 8/27/2007

I have gone to this place primarily to eat at the restaurant for a couple of years. I notice that the people employed in the restaurant change regularly. When I first went there the food was "OK"--but the low price was great! About a year later a completely different restaurant "regime" came along. The prices were the same--but the food became terrific. Some of my friends found it a bit spicy--but I thought it was just wonderful. Sadly, there's already a new regime. The food is at an "all time" low ebb. Even at the price, I probably won't go back for about a year. Maybe by then a new restaurant regime will be in place. I hope it's better than the current one! [ I should perhaps mention that I'm a "westerner" (I grew up in Iowa) who spent a couple of years in India. (I graduated from Woodstock high school near Landour/Mussoorie, Uttaranchal, India.) I do eat slowly and really enjoy quality Indian food. The current Subzi Mandi "restaurant regime" just doesn't cut it for me. 8/27/07 ] more

Not too bad 10/30/2005

Living on the other side of town, all Indian stores are a healthy drive away, and this one's no exception. I heard about it from my hairdresser Maria at Sport Clips (who is Hispanic!) and decided to try it out. It's huge, and has a lot of selection. There's a gift store inside with clothes and stuff, and the restaurant is down home punjabi vegetarian food; it's wonderful. Only downside is that it looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside, and seems to be in a slightly more rundown neighborhood than Taj Mahal Imports. Unfortunately based on the distance, I don't see myself going there too often... more

Sabzi Mandi 8/21/2005

Sabzi Mandi is the new kid on the block of Indian grocery stores and so far, it’s doing an exceptional job. Ever get hungry while you are shopping? Not to worry, Sabzi Mani has its own restaurant. It also has fresh veggies and practically everything you will ever need from an Indian grocery store. With its restaurant, variety of choices, and size, Subzi Mandi topples Taj Mahal Imports as the premier Indian grocery store. more
