I am new to guns and I found the Manchester Firing Line well laid out with a great deal of guns. I found the 2 people that worked with me condescending and with one hell of an attitude. I think they are on commission or get a kick back from Glock. He only wanted me to shoot a Glock. I wanted to try a revolver but he only had one and that look so bad that I would not have wanted to shoot it. I asked him why no revolvers and he said they are all being repaired, ""here use the Glock"" I only shot for a short time, it did not feel right in my hand it was hard to pull the trigger and returned everything and came to the conclusion that this was not the place for me. Since then I have been to many places and they for the most part did not agree with the info. on revolvers and Glocks that I had been told. I have since bought a nice revolver, a Ruger SP101 357 for $519 and I am very happy. There are a lot of places where the people have the time and are very couteous and patient. I guess they must be so successful that they don't need the business but other than that it was a nice place to shoot. more

Response from this business:\r This all started when Joe V. came in as a member to shoot, and was made aware that his membership was ""Two Months"" late on his renewal. My Clerk informed him that since it was so late, (and we do have a thirty day grace period), that he could not save the $25.00 that he would have saved if he had done it on time. Joe V. stormed out in anger that night - and posted on three internet sites that we are a ""ripoff"" and started stories about knee deep brass etc. etc. I called Joe at home like he states. I informed him that had he called and asked for the owner - I would have driven to the range to explain everything to him. Since I refused to offer him the $25.00 off over the phone, and explained our policies to include that he had read & signed the agreement clearly stating the same, he has posted different stories about the true cause. Joe - Good luck to you no matter where you spend your money, or should I say ""good luck"" to the business that your feet take you to. You need to tell the truth - and act like an adult when you don't get your own way. Instead you elect to act like a child that didn't get his lolipop in the grocery store. PS: I do break my own rules on renewal times if someone has a valid reason: as in Military Service, Sickness, hardship etc.""Not for threats from him that he'll post things on the internet"" People that know me,know that I'm fair to deal with. The facility is okay if you don't mind sweeping up brass that's not your own... Their memberships are a complete ripoff and they won't even send you a post card reminder to renew. They want you to forget so they can charge you extra to renew... By the way... I was a member for 3 years and bought gift memberships for my sons... NOT ANYMORE!!! Basically overpriced for what you get... IF you do go there, buy your ammo and targets, hearing protection and eye protection at Walmart just a little over two miles away. Also, wear boots as all the brass laying around the floor can get pretty deep.\r As a follow up...\r I just received a call from the owner of Manchester Firing Line... Apparently he does not appreciate my review. \r I stand by every word in my review and found it interesting the owner would not accept the fact that I have had to sweep up brass, that was from other shooters, at his facility because it was a saftey hazard at my shooting station. I think when you call a customer's home you have one of two intentions as an owner... 1. To find out how you can win that customer back and at the same time improve your business. 2 To give this customer a piece of your mind and not try understand why they had a negative experience in your establishment. My experience with this owner fell into category 2.\r \r Thank you Jim for validating my decision to join Belmont Fire Arms and Range.\r more
