I "dined" at this establishment on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 around 9:30 p.m. with another patron. The restaurant was not very busy. It took about 20 minutes to receive our beers because according to our server, ?the bar was slow? (first clue of her ?it?s not my fault? attitude). We were seated with about 10 people in the dining area and there were a few groups near the bar, but no reason that it should have taken so long to receive our drinks. Another 15 minutes go by before our server took our order of an appetizer of pork dumplings, a roast beef sandwich, and a salad for dinner. Our dumplings came out first, which were pretty similar to the kind in the Costco frozen food section, nothing fabulous. As we finished our dumplings, our server tells us that the kitchen staff ?refused? to make our meals because she placed the order in for the dumplings (which were labeled as ?appetizers?) to come out first, then our meals to come out second. She said we could complain to the manager about it, but there was nothing she could do. We didn?t complain to the manager, and instead left (who knows how long that could have taken to see that person). We didn?t want to leave her a tip because of our frustration with her ?it?s not my fault? attitude, but we didn?t want to wait another 15-20 minutes to get change (and risk the chance of not getting dinner anywhere). I?m usually patient when it comes to food service if there is a reason for a delay or if a dish is not available, but this server was unprofessional in the handling of this back of the house issue. My companion (who is a waiter) agreed that she shouldn?t have put the ball in our court to beg for our dinner to a manager and instead should have resolved the issue with her manager and the kitchen staff. Because of this negative experience, I won?t go back to this restaurant. We went down the street to Flat Rock where they served us food and had way better beer.
Cons: Poor service
